Story
If interested in Jamaica, apply here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CPAR/Dog Jamaica is 4 months old and weighs 15 lbs. She is a sweet and happy girl with a wonderful, easygoing personality. She has a gentle nature and a friendly disposition that makes her a joy to be around. She enjoys playing with other dogs and spending time with people. Jamaica is crate trained, leash trained, and currently working on potty training as she continues to learn the routine in her foster home. She does well with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine companion to play with. She has not been tested with cats yet, but because she is still young she may do well with proper introductions. Jamaica is a Sato, which is the name used for Puerto Rican street dogs. Satos are known for being incredibly resilient, loyal, and wonderful family companions. Many come from difficult beginnings but grow into devoted, loving pets. Jamaica is being fostered in Hanover, MD. PLEASE READ: Any dog that is house or potty trained will still need patience in a new home with new people and a new schedule. Please be ready to train ANY dog you adopt! Also, please understand we can not guarantee breed or full grown size of any young dog or puppy. Thank you for understanding.

Story
My name is Sparky, but dont let the name fool youIm a mellow 8-year-old, 30-pound sweetheart who believes that the best moments in life are the quiet ones spent snuggled up together. While I might not bounce off the walls like I did when I was a young pup, I do have plenty of love to give and make a fantastic companion for someone looking for a loving, devoted friend. After my family moved and couldnt take me along, I found myself with a wonderful rescue who have shown me what its like to be cherished. Now, Im ready to share that warmth, loyalty, and affection with my forever family.Routine is my happy placeI like to know whats coming next and I thrive with gentle guidance. Quick movements (especially from little ones) can make me nervous due to my past, so Id do best in a home without children. But I get along well with other friendly dogs! In fact, I currently share my foster home with a dog companion, and we get along just fine. As for cats, theyre not really my style, but I wish them well.Couch time and cuddle sessions are absolutely my favoritesIm at my very best when theres someone to lean into, whether were watching movies or just hanging out. Walks are a nice treat too, but Ill never ask you to go on a marathon; I just like a gentle stroll and some fresh air.Im fully house trained, know my basic manners, and always happy to please with a treat. My foster family is helping me work through a bit of separation anxiety, so Id really love a family whos around most of the time, preferably in a house with a fenced yard, where I can feel safe and content. If youre looking for a loving, low-key companion who will adore snuggling by your side and getting cozy with a calm dog sibling, I could be the perfect fit for your family. I promise, youll fall in love with my gentle nature and cuddly ways!Interested in meeting me? Visit www.crcpa.org/adoptable-dogs for more about the adoption process. Love always, Sparky.Canine Rescue of Central PAKennel #3443

Story
This adorable, spunky, silly girl is heartbroken because she has absolutely zero interest from anyone wanting to adopt her. She has now set the record for the longest dog in our foster program. Pachi has been with us for a year and a half and prior to our rescue she had been in a shelter for several months. Pachi is the cutest little dog with the coolest ears. She is much smaller than she appears in her photos. (Under 30lbs). Pachi is a true gem, and we can't explain how lucky her person will be once they find each other. She's shown incredible growth but needs a home with structure and routine to continue to grow. Pachi finds joy in the simple pleasures of life, like chasing a toy or curling up on the couch and loves to share blueberries and bananas for breakfast with her foster mom. Pachi is most comfortable with women but is open to anyone with a soft side. She would do best with an adult-only home, or with older children. Pachi likes to be the center of attention, so no other pets. She is not a fan of felines. Pachi prefers a home with a fenced in yard to run around in. We know that her person/people are out there, but we need your help to find this deserving girl her much deserved forever home. Please share. We would like Pachi to stay within Central PA or if the perfect home is found we would consider someone further away. “Dogs have a way of finding the people who need them and filling the emptiness we didn’t ever know we had.” - Thom Jones

Now that her little ones are ready to take on the world, it’s finally Joyful’s turn to be spoiled. Joyful is a young lady with a calm, gentle personality and a deeply affectionate nature. She also gets along great with other dogs, so whether you have a furry friend at home or she’s your one-and-only princess, she’ll fit right in.     After being such an amazing mom, Joyful deserves a forever home where she’ll be showered with love, cozy beds, belly rubs, and maybe a few extra treats (purely for “emotional recovery” from motherhood, of course). If you’re ready to give this wonderful mama the happily-ever-after she’s earned, Joyful is ready to fill your home — and your heart — with exactly what her name promises.  Apply today, she can't wait to meet you! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life.
