If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire at  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/genericYou can learn about the adoption process by visiting:  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/.  Dog's Name:  Baby Barney (BAR1124JNSMD)Estimated Breed:  Miniature Pinscher mix Approximate Age: 16 weeks  Approximate Weight:  7-8 LBS  Currently Living at:  Foster  Adoption Fee:  $500DOG'S DESCRIPTION:  Meet Baby Barney! Sweet Barney came from an overcrowded shelter in Johnson City, Tennessee. The shelter is a scary place for a little puppy, but fortunately Barney has been rescued by K-9 Lifesavers and has landed a nice foster home while he patiently awaits his forever home. Could that be with you? Barney's foster says, "He is smart, spunky and extremely affectionate. Barney loves to play and is great with other dogs. But he also loves to cuddle and lay in your lap." At his young age, Barney is in his prime for training and socialization. Please remember that young pups require lots of time, love, and patience to become the best doggie citizens they can be. Submit an application today and change this very deserving boy's life forever! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/. Donations help us offset boarding costs and additional medical treatment for those dogs who need it.  K-9 Lifesavers receives NO federal funding and survive with your generous support! For more information on K-9 Lifesavers, or to view a complete listing of all our Adoptable Dogs, visit our website at https://k-9lifesavers.org/adopt. Please “like” our Facebook Page for the most current events and new dogs.Thank you for considering a rescue dog! ##2229286##
