Meet Piper—a truly special little lady who’s been waiting far too long to find her forever home. This sweet Miniature Pinscher mix has quite the story. She arrived at Misty Eyes Animal Center from a shelter with her litter of eight puppies, and after lovingly raising them, it’s finally her turn to be cared for and cherished. Piper will be a bit timid at first and can be shy around new people, but with patience, kindness, and a little time, she blossoms into a devoted and affectionate companion. Once you’ve earned her trust, she’ll happily curl up beside you and show just how loving she truly is. At around 3½ years old and 30 pounds, Piper has a playful side—she especially enjoys chasing her favorite ball and letting her joyful spirit shine. Because she can be sensitive to loud noises and unfamiliar situations, she would do best in a calm, quiet home where she can feel safe and secure. Piper finds comfort in her people and forms strong, loyal bonds. With the right family—one that understands her gentle nature and is willing to go at her pace—she will be an incredibly rewarding companion.
