Story
Jinxie is a playful 1-2 year old pup. My mother adopted her last year, but is unable to care for her after a recent injury. Jinxie gets along with other dogs but can get overwhelmed with too much play/bigger dogs. She is mostly house trained but still has accidents in the house (#1) sometimes, but it’s rare. We are working on that. She is not very well leash trained and her recall is not good, but we are working on it. We have a cat and they get along fine.

Story
Batman and Robin are a bonded pair of dogs who were very feral when they first arrived. Batman, the larger of the two, weighs around 20 lbs, while Robin is about 10 lbs. They are between 1 to 2 years old and have made incredible progress since coming into our care. While they are still nervous around people, they are mirroring the behavior of the more friendly dogs around them, and their confidence is growing every day. These two adventurers love to explore and are known to climb the Ash tree in my backyard and chase squirrels. They enjoy the freedom of having access to a dog door and a crate, but they can be chewers. They are generally good with other dogs, and having a friendly dog in the home to lead the way would help them feel even more comfortable. Though Batman and Robin are still hesitant about being handled, we are working with them through hand feeding and gentle petting to help them overcome their fear. They need a very patient foster home where they can continue to build trust and confidence. If you are someone with the time, patience, and experience to help guide these sweet souls, we would be forever grateful. Batman and Robin are a bonded pair who need each other, and we hope to find them a safe, loving home where they can continue to grow. We would like to find a foster to adopt situation for this bonded pair. Thank you for considering opening your heart and home to Batman and Robin. ##2262832##

To apply or learn more, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2024/9/11/bean Small mixed breed pups - 4 girls and 2 boys available 1/4/25 for adoption! Mama is a sweet 12-15 lb small breed mix, dad unknown best guess 10-15 lbs full grown Rescued while mom was pregnant & 2 days later gave birth in foster care Lovingly hand raised in a foster home. See individual pics to meet each tiny taco! Beans (female) is the most petite of the litter! Currently in foster in a home in Davis, CA. $375 adoption donation includes spayed, rabies, dhpp, bordatella, flea tick treated, fecal tested/dewormed, and microchipped Ideal home will: Have the time to commit to all things puppy! Please note puppies do not do well left alone long hours and need to be let out every 2-3 hours for potty. Long work schedule where the puppy would be left alone for 7+ hours can be difficult on most puppies and young dogs. Solid plans for puppy socialization, positive exposure and continued training + relationship building -- commitment not just to puppyhood but to a lifetime of love, care, companionship and vetting. HFP advocates for Positive Reinforcement only for young puppies and training that focuses less on "obedience" and more on confidence building, relationship building and consent training. Preference to homes w/ friendly & well-trained dog role models (preference, NOT required) Preference to homes w/ yards (preferred, NOT required) Why? Puppies cannot go in public until they are 4 month old and complete their puppy shot series. Having a yard during this time greatly helps with play, potty training, and providing an outlet for your puppy to get outside. There are ways to work around this if you do live in an apartment setting but it takes some extra work and planning! Interested in adopting? 1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application 2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call! 3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time. Follow facebook.com/heartsforpawsrescue & Instagram @heartsforpawsrescue for more!
