Story
Meet Gladys! She is a 9 month old Min Pin mix. She is a sweet girl that LOVES to play with toys and other dogs, go on walks, go for rides, and snuggle! Unfortunately, Gladys has a congenital malformation in her brain. Due to this malformation, she becomes aggressive when she is laying down to relax or sleep. Fortunately, she has a small mouth so nothing she has done has hurt me. However, my cat(who has a heart condition) is not so fortunate. She gets extremely aggressive with him and he is no longer safe. It breaks my heart to admit that Gladys needs a new home but this is what it has come to and it is URGENT. I have been trying to work with the shelter that I got her from but they have been no help so I’m posting this out of desperation! Must go to a home with no cats and no young children. She would absolutely love a dog! Please let me know if you are interested or want more information. ❤️ 🐶

Story
Hey there, I’m Puppy Jay! I’m a Miniature Pinscher with a lot of personality packed into my small frame! I might be tiny, but I’m full of confidence, and I’m always ready to make new friends. I’m sweet, friendly, playful, and I love everyone I meet—people, other dogs, especially big ones! My special skill? My oversized ears! They’re not just cute (though, let’s be real, they are!)—they’re my secret weapon for eavesdropping on all the latest gossip in the neighborhood. I know everything going on around here, so if you ever need the scoop, just ask me! Right now, I’m staying with my awesome fosters who are taking great care of me until I find my forever home. I can’t wait to bring some joy, playtime, and love to my new family. I’m looking for a family who’ll appreciate my playful energy and snuggly side. I might overhear your secrets, but don’t worry—I’m a trustworthy pup. If you’ve got room for a little guy with a big heart and even bigger ears, I’m your pup! Love, Jay

Story
Meet Winnie and Wila...mother and daughter that are a bonded pair! Winnie is a female, 3 year old, 10lb Min Pin mix that was saved pregnant off the streets of Tijuana where she was dumped and scrounging for food. A kind woman took her in where Winnie gave birth, but only one baby survivied - a little girl, Wila a Border Terrier/MinPin/Schnauzer mix who is now almost 7 months old. WInnie was in bad condition when she was rescued. She had a type of mange that was non contagious but nonetheless it left her skin in terrible shape. With medical treatment and lots of tlc...she is in absolute perfect shape now! Both girls are very sweet and loving, non-aggressive and perfect with dogs and cats. We will only adopt them together as they are very bonded. They are in an amazing foster home right now who has nothing but wonderful things to say about them. Winnie and WIla have been through so much together that we promised them that we will find them the best and most loving forever home out there! Winnie and Wila are spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. We only adopt in the Greater Los Angeles Areas as an in person meet/greet, home check, and trial period are required. Please contact us at: gina@theforgottendog.org or 310-990-2020

Story
Meet Lily and Scarlett, a delightful 9-year-old Miniature Pinscher duo. These loving ladies have been cherished by their owner since they were puppies. However, due to health challenges, their owner is now seeking a new home where they can continue to thrive together. Lily and Scarlett are small, gentle dogs (around 10 lbs each) who adore snuggling under blankets in their crate. They’re unbothered by storms or fireworks and are well-mannered, with no chewing habits. While they prefer a calm, low-key lifestyle over high-energy play, they do enjoy regular potty breaks, making them a great fit for a home where someone is available to take them out every few hours. If you’re looking for cuddly companions and are ready to welcome both Lily and Scarlett into your life, they could be the perfect addition to your family. Interested in adopting? Story
HENRIETTE-URGENT-Sponsorship: Henriette is awaiting life-saving specialty surgery or radiation treatment (preferred) to remove a tumor on her thyroid gland. It is not malignant but causes an extremely high thyroid count. If it is not removed Henriette will die. Our regular veterinarians won’t do the surgery and have referred us to several specialists to do this very delicate surgery or equally delicate radiation which will cost $12,000 to $14,000. Even with an added 15% rescue discount, it is more money than we can ever raise. We are seeking help! We have no funds left. We have spent nearly $2000 for all her diagnostics—specialty ultrasounds, blood panels, cardiology assessment at MASH, urinalysis and other needed tests, medications, holistic treatments and supplements which we hope will help until we are able to raise the funds necessary for her urgent procedure. Henriette is also on expensive "Just Food For Dogs", human grade food, is fed several times a day, and gets a whole host of supplements and vitamins. Donations can also be made directly to the veterinarian and The Nature Network Inc., a 501c3 non-profit, will provide a donation receipt for tax deductions. We rescued Henriette from the Orange County Animal Shelter, where she was out of time and living her final days. Henriette loves her doggy playmates and they would miss Hen terribly if she died. Henriette is spayed and current on her vaccinations. For more information about HENRIETTE, and if you or someone you know can help her, please contact us: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com (Also our PayPal donation/sponsorship email address)

Story
COOKIE is a lovely adult-to-senior girl, 12 pounds, Miniature Pinscher whose senior human dad passed away, leaving Cookie and her four little companions, Shorty, Millie, Poopsy, and Missy, without their dad. They all get along really well, are house trained, and also know to use pads to do their business indoors, at night, and when it's raining or very cold out. Cookie's late dad probably did not realize that Cookie's left eye was swollen and didn't look right. We don't know exactly what happened to it, but veterinarians are thinking it was untreated uveitis leading to glaucoma that was no longer treatable with medicines. So poor Cookie had to have an enucleation--eye removal. We don't think her other eye was or will ever be involved as we don't know what was the underlying cause. It could have been injury to the eye rather than a systemic problem. Cookie can often be found burrowed in a blanket, and when we arrive starts to dig herself out! None of the pups appear to be serious barkers, only barking to warn that someone is at or near the front door, and then they settle down again. They are great with cats, because they were housemate with six (6) cats! If shown a lot of affection and understanding when welcomed into their new homes, we are sure these lovely kiddos will do well in loving new homes even when they won’t be staying together. IMPORTANT NOTE: Recently the number of deaths from hungry coyote attacks has greatly increased. Coyotes can climb 10 foot fences with a small to medium sized dog in their jaws. This happens in broad daylight in the middle of the day, and on trails while hiking with your dog on a leash, it is truly unbelievable, and we have frightening first-hand accounts. We are listing these lovely pups to help their current foster in finding them wonderful new homes. All four girl pups are spayed, Shorty is neutered, and all of them current on vaccines. To learn more about Cookie (or Shorty, Millie, Poopsy, and Missy), please contact us at: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com (also our PayPal email for donations and sponsorships).
