Story
Meet Rockstar! Rockstar entered San Diego Humane Society-Oceanside as a stray. When he wasn't claimed, we scooped him up on November 19th to become a Frosted Face. Rockstar is around 7 years old and weighs 16 lbs. Rockstar is currently on an extended Frosted Fling, so he can decompress after the stress of being in a shelter, while we learn what he is like in a home environment. His Fling Mom reports: "Rockstar was scared to death. It took me a while to even touch or pet him at all. After being here for two weeks, he started playing with toys! Rockstar has now been here three weeks and is so much more relaxed. I can now pick him up, walk him on a leash, feed him by hand, and pet him some. Rockstar is great with large and small dogs, never, ever growls, and is a beautiful dog. He looks like a mini-lab! Rockstar is generally calm but also sometimes playful. His energy level seems to mirror what is happening around him. Rockstar is scared around new people but never growls. He loves my oldest daughter. She was able to pet him after a half hour with a loose leash on him. He sleeps in bed with me and sleeps all night long. Rockstar loves to run around my large one-acre yard, either with the other dogs or independently. He is a gentleman with other dogs at all times. I think it will be a while until Rockstar is fully relaxed and not scared, but he has been progressing almost daily. We really are enjoying having him in our home and seeing him blossom!" If you would like the reward of seeing Rockstar blossom in the love and security of a forever home, please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org to meet him!

Story
Meet Putnam! Putnam entered Lancaster Animal Shelter as a stray around the holidays. Isn't it hard to picture this tiny boy fending for himself? When he wasn't claimed, we scooped him up on January 8th to make him a Frosted Face. We estimate Putnam is 10 years old, and he weighs just 6 lbs. Putnam went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn more about him in a home setting, while he got all the love & cuddles he deserves! His Fling Mom reports: "Putnam is a cute little guy looking for his person or family. He is sweet to all people and children so far. He loves walks and can keep up a brisk pace! While a generally low energy guy at home who loves his blankets, he gets bursts of energy throughout the day and will get some nighttime “ zoomies” on occasion. Putnam sleeps through the night great. He has been left alone up to 8 hours while at work - he does not seem to have separation anxiety . He would occasionally cry for a minute when I left , then go back to his bed without any issues until I came home. Putnam does well for car rides and on outings to Target, restaurants, etc.). He is a pretty good eater, prefers dry food over wet. Putnam does well with cats. This guy is a great pup that deserves to find his forever family!" Putnam is back on-site and ready for his forever home. Drop by to meet him between 10 AM and 3 PM any day of the week!

He loves people and is not afraid of strangers, he also gets along great with dogs; he is not food aggressive. Walks great on leash and enjoys car rides (does not get dizzy), he is not a barker. He lives indoor/outdoor; enjoys sunbathing. Please note that Rocky is afraid of fireworks, his future family will have to be careful if Rocky is exposed to fireworks. Hello, my name is Coqueta, which means "flirtatious" in Spanish, and I live up to my name! I'm a young female dog, and I'm on the lookout for a special someone to call my own. I'm a bright, lively, and curious girl, and I'm always ready for my next adventure. I'm very loyal to my human friends and I love nothing more than to play and explore with them. I'm also a bit of an independent spirit, so I'm always up for some alone time. If you're looking for a fun-loving and devoted companion, I'm the girl for you. Come and meet me today and see if we're a match made in heaven! All of our dogs are completely medically vetted and vaccinated, de-wormed, treated with flea & tick prevention medication, 3 & 4DX tested, microchipped and spayed and neutered. If interested in a Meet and Greet, please submit an Adoption Application through our ALMA website at: www.almarescue.org

Story
Meet our sweet & smart Dale!. Exciting adventures await with this adorable little super-heroe! Chip 'n Dale - he is a Dachshund & miniature Pinscher Expect to have with him a lifetime of love, cuddles, and doggy treats. He is 15 pounds; although he looks taller but he is very light - he will not be over 25 pound once full grown. He is very smart; lovable, lap pup, he loves to play tag of war and loves to fetch as well. Sometimes he looks like a Bambi, such a cute face he gives you:) He is being fostered with a pack of 15 dogs and 7 cats - therefore, he is a dog and cat friendly. His best friend who is like a brother to him is Leo. So if you are looking for 2 pups, 1 small and one medium these 2 will make a great addition to your family and will bring hours of enjoyment when you then together playing and loving each other. Dale sits on the head of Leo when he goes to sleep..lol.. However, no need to adopt them together, only if you are looking for 2 pups to adopt. He is very funny, and he will provide you with lots of hours of enjoyment as he has an amazing personality. He is crate trained; he sleeps all night in his crate with no accidents.:) As with all rescued fury kids; they are going to need training, love reinforcement; as you know they all come from a tough beginning on their lives and the art of adopting a rescued creature is to bring them to be the best they can be with love and patience.
