Story
Sunny Sides, a Basset Hound mix, was found tied to a fence at an apartment complex and though she had a microchip, the person it was registered to did not want her back. So, we took her in to our vet to be given basic veterinary care, along with having her evaluated for a suspected urinary tract infection. She was having to go potty constantly, and there was blood present. Our vet did an x-ray and the reason for her discomfort and frequent urination became apparent. This poor senior’s bladder was absolutely full or bladder stones! We raised the funds for this very necessary surgery, and numerous bladder stones were removed. Throughout it all Sunny Sides, who is around 12 years old, has been a complete sweetheart and a very easy going foster. She gets along with all the dogs her foster mom has of various ages and sizes, and she doesn’t have any issues with cats. She will need to remain on a prescription urinary diet for the rest of her life, but she is otherwise completely healthy and ready to find a forever that really means forever. Her foster mom named her Sunny Sides because of her positive disposition-she looks at the sunny side of things and she deserves a sunny side of life from here on out. Austin metro, TX area adoptions preferred. Her adoption fee includes vet exam, vaccines, medications, and microchip.

Story
STELLA is absolutely "stellar" in every way you want your pet dog to be. Sadly, she was found as a stray on a busy street and she quickly became a shelter dog. She turned out to be a sheer delight when she found a foster home. A calm and mellow "chiweenie" who is not aggressive to other dogs and humans passing by during walks. Not sure about how she does with cats. She loves her walks and is great on a leash. Stella definitely loves playing fetch and has moderate energy. Yet, she loves naps and will tuck herself under the blanket. It is so fun to watch her do this. Her foster mom is working on some weight loss for her (2 pounds), with daily walks and a controlled diet. She knows basic commands like sit, come, and no. She loves to follow her foster mom around and wants to be in her line of sight, except when she sees squirrels. No frantic barking or chasing but just a hard stare. Stella is super sweet, eager to please, and is house and crate trained. Her chocolate brown coat is shiny and healthy. Not a shedder. It will be wonderful that she finds a forever home whereby the adopter/s loves walks and the outdoors, so that her weight loss can be maintained. The adoption fee of $375 is for miscellaneous fees like the vet exam, microchip, rabies, dewormer, spay, heartworm prevention, and vaccines. We prefer homes with a fenced backyard, children over 5, and a fenced pool if you have one. Austin, TX area adoptions. We will consider nearby cities. Stella is not on our official website yet.
