Story
GINGER-ALE!! She will heal what ails you! Don’t let her age fool you, this little lady has plenty of years left. Ginger is a sweet girl looking for a soft bed and warm snuggles. She ended up in foster care through no fault of her own when her caretaker fell ill. She was well cared for and loved very much. She is a fan of ear scratches and belly rubs. She plays in short spurts with her doggie friends but mostly enjoys napping and snacking! If you are looking for a chill companion to spend your days with Ginger is your girl! She does well with dogs, kids, adults, and even those pesky cats! She can blend with a family/person with pets or be just fine as an only dog. She is potty trained and will paw at the door to tell you she needs to go. She is crate-trained but it isn’t her favorite. She tolerates it and goes to sleep, however, she is excited to be let out with her people when they return. Please find it in your heart to adopt a senior who still has "pep-in-her-step" and will make a wonderful, calm companion for some family. She is highly food motivated, so as with many dogs, you won’t want to leave any “no-no” food where she can get it. She isn’t a picky eater and has acclimated to her foster’s food quickly. Her adoption fee covers her recent standard vet care. Microchipped and rabies vaccinated. She is healthy, spayed, has all of her shots, heartworm negative, and is on monthly prevention.

Story
Applebloom is a doll baby! She is not only cute but she is so sweet. She came to us with two female siblings from a Dachshund mix Mom. This adorable little Dachshund mix is so sweet and petite, social but shy at first when meeting new people. She longs to be cuddled and treasured in her forever home. She is part of the Black Dog Syndrome. What is this? Dogs that are black are not favored over the lighter colored dogs. Please do not pass her up because of this, as she only has love and more love to give. She is an innocent puppy and do not know what color she is. We are working on her housetraining. A family who is experienced with puppies or patient with raising them, is very helpful but not necessary. We do not know whether she is cat friendly. See more pics of her on our website. Because of her petite size, we need a privacy fenced yard, no unsecured pool and children over 5 years of age are required. Also, she must be adopted into the Austin, TX metro area. Applebloom’s adoption fee of $350.00 includes her Vet exam, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal test, wormer, heart worm, flea/tick preventative, future spay and microchip.
