Story
That sweet, squishable face belongs to Curly, a calm, loving, easy-going little guy with a huge heart and the cutest curly tail. So lovey, people friendly, good with dogs and cats, a great companion dog!! Curly is around 1 year old, and we suspect him to be a hound mix of some sort. He has a looooong body, short legs with feet that splay out and the cutest underbite with yellow golden eyes. Curly weighs in around 56 pounds right now, tiny but beefy with his short little legs! A “small” big dog, the perfect size for couch snuggles. Watch Curly here: https://youtu.be/q-rVyKmqBMY?si=OZQzq6i2dbCA6aI6 Curly is a charmer to his core, he’s so so loving and people-friendly, he has the cutest little underbite and he’s so engaging with humans. Curly opens up quickly with new humans, he will ask just about anyone for belly rubs. I just know that it will be “love at first sight” for him the moment he meets his forever family. He’s super affectionate, but not overly pushy about it, and doesn’t jump up for pets. He’s such a good boy! Here at the rescue, Curly has made friends with kids aged 3-13. He’s gentle, sweet and patient with all of them! See Curly interact with kids for yourself in his video. Curly did well meeting other dogs here at the rescue, and currently lives in a foster home with multiple other dogs. He gets along well with all that he meets, and he’s loving and sweet with other dogs. Curly is all about sweet puppy kisses, and going with the flow. Curly plays with his foster doggy-sister every day and would likely do well in a home with another moderately playful dog to keep him company. Here at the rescue, Curly was cat tested by our behavior team. He did really well meeting our house cat Tom, he was unfazed by him and quickly shifted his focus back to his people. Our behavior team recommends Curly for a home with dog-savvy cats! Curly is new to all the luxury a life with loving humans can afford. So far, he does well in the car, and does well in the house. He has great house manners, and doesn’t have accidents indoors in his foster home, or at the rescue. He’s still learning how to walk on leash, but he’s great about checking in with his people, and doesn’t bark at other dogs while he’s on leash. With consistent training, Curly could learn to love the leash. For the time being, we do recommend Curly for a home with a fenced yard, so that potty breaks aren’t too stressful. Curly’s perfect home has at least one loving human, and another dog to keep him company, but he’s not too picky about the rest. Curly could live with kitties, and would love a couch to curl up on. This sweet boy will make such a wonderful companion, he’s an easy-going boy, and sooo loving. Curly will bring so much joy into your life. We are willing to test him with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen- just let us know. Story
Who is this gorgeous fluffball, you ask?? Meet Mike Wazowski! This adorable fluffy guy is 21 pounds— tiny!! He’s approx 1 year old and has the most unique look— like a miniature Border Collie mixed with some sort of small breed— we see a glimpse of possible Dachshund, but in rescue it's always a guess! This will make for a fun DNA reveal partyyy!! This dog is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this dog needs you! If you choose a dog from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Mike's video here: You just have to meet Mike once to know this little guy is something special. Of course you will see his one perfect eye and his other good-but-less-than-perfect eye, but it doesn't seem to slow this happy fellow down in the slightest. In fact, our Vet Techs think that Mike still has some vision out of his left eye, so it shows just how resilient and adaptable this impressive fluffy fellow truly is. And he's not just resilient - this gorgeous little guy is thriving! Mike is living his best doggo life, and enjoying it to the fullest. You can tell because he always seems to be wearing a joyful happy smile (with his tongue hanging out) and wagging his fluffy tail. Mike loves to meet new people and has little to no stranger danger - everyone has the potential to be his best buddy, lol. He is great around other dogs, respectfully approaching them to sniff and backing away quickly and redirecting if they show any aversion. Mike certainly seems highly attuned to everyone and everything around him - he's such an impressive little guy! Of course, we have to mention how incredibly soft and snuggly Mike is. You will find yourself petting and snuggling him whenever possible, and Mike is surely ok with all the love and affection you have to give him! He is gentle when taking treats and quick to offer kisses in return for your attention. Mike is already great on leash and would enjoy someone that could take him on walks to explore the world and meet new friends. This handsome boy promises to be your perfect (paw-fect) pal! We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience! We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Story
Meet Landon, the sweetest and most laid-back Chihuahua mix you’ll ever meet! Landon is the perfect companion for someone looking for a calm, loving, and affectionate pup. He’s a mellow guy who loves nothing more than curling up in your lap and soaking up some gentle head scratches. His calm demeanor makes him easy to get along with, and he’s particularly fond of the company of women. Fall in love here: https://youtu.be/LSRpuKs7Nlk?feature=shared Currently living in a foster home, Landon is great with other dogs—both big and small—and even gets along with cats. He would do well with another calm dog, or he’d be just as happy as your one and only best friend. Landon is potty trained, enjoys a quick stroll outside (he's not one for long walks), and walks wonderfully on a leash, content to follow you wherever you go. His laid-back nature makes him a great fit for apartment living or any peaceful home where he can relax and enjoy his days with you. If you're looking for a loyal, easy-going companion who just wants to cuddle up with you and share quiet moments, Landon is your guy. He’s ready to bring his loving energy into your home and become your new best friend!
