Story
Where are my floppy ear lovers? Check out the ears on Bingo! He is currently 10 weeks old, and we think he may be a Dachshund/Hound and possibly mixed with Frenchie or pug, like his momma! This boy is a true Texas special!! His mom is pictured in the photos and only about 35 lbs or rolls and chunky love. The babies are so small so may end up medium sized - too cute! Their mom is very laid-back and the puppies are pretty laid-back as well. They have wonderful personalities and they have lived in a foster home since they were very tiny so they are well socialized with kids, other dogs, and they have a great foundation for being wonderful family dogs. They have been very well taken care of and they seem to be very healthy. This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Bingo is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. He loves to play with his siblings and take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat - such is puppy life! Bingo is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $1000.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. Story
Edna, our 8 year old 10 pound chiweenie, is a wall-flower. That can be a hard personality trait for a dog as most people (in our experience) want to say hello to every dog they see. It's especially difficult when a dog is as cute as Edna; that's a lot of attention for someone who wants to stay home and read a book. Edna is looking for a quiet place to call her own where no one expects her to party. Found stray, we were asked to take Edna in after it was discovered that she has epilepsy. We cleaned her teeth and got her started on anti-seizure medication (Keppra, taken 3 times a day; expected to cost less than 10 dollars a month with a GoodRX coupon). She is doing really well on the medication and hasn't had a seizure since we started. Edna will need this medication long term. Edna does well with other dogs and we expect she would be fine with dog savvy cats. She doesn't have a mean bone in her, but Edna is very timid. Once she gets to know someone, she asks for belly rubs and enjoys pets. Edna REALLY loves meal time and is very food motivated. She does not like loud noises or being picked up, so we recommend only older, quiet kids in her house. Edna is potty trained, not destructive, and can be trusted alone in the house. She is also crate trained but hasn't had to use one in her foster home. Edna is heartworm negative and current on her flea and heartworm medication. It will likely take several months in Edna's new home before our little wallflower truly blossoms. Are you the patient person willing to give Edna the time she needs to overcome her shyness? Story
Hello! My name is Scrappy . I am a young small dog ready for my forever home. I am sweet and loving with a happy spirit that's contagious. I like to go to parks and play outside. I am also happy cuddling up on the couch and relaxing. I am g ood with dogs, people, kids, and cats. I was hit by a car at some point and the injury was never fixed so I do have a limp when I walks.
