Roman (Romy) is a 1yr. old male Bassett mix. He is full of curiosity and energy. He loves to cuddle and he even “talks” sometimes. He can be amusing at times especially when he trips over his chunky front paws. Roman is about 30-35 Ibs. He enjoys all types of squeaky toys and is learning to fetch.  He has made himself quite at home and has made friends with our dog. He doesn’t discriminate when it comes to playmates. He’s been around large and small dogs and a cat. He is learning to walk on a leash and is getting better everyday. He doesn’t require a fenced yard. He loves his chew toys but needs to have access to plenty of them or he might chew a cord or shoe. Roman is not crate trained but is housebroken. He will whine at the door when he needs to go out. Roman loves to eat and has been caught attempting to “counter surf”. All in all, Roman is a complete sweetheart and will be a happy addition to his forever home. If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Roman’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Hi everyone!  My foster mom calls me The Zues Mann. I am a 10 yr old dachshund but don’t let my age fool you. I like to run and play in my fenced in backyard and chew on any toys that squeak. I get along with other dogs, cats and kids. I love to give you a hug, and to snuggle. My favorite thing is to curl up next to my human under a blanket like a bug in a rug, whether it be in front of the TV or in bed at night.  I am housebroken (however I just got neutered so I wear a belly band right now to keep me from marking). I know my basic commands and I walk good on the leash. I do okay in the car but I am not fond of the crate.  I am totally vetted now and am looking for my furever family to love on and cuddle with. My foster mom says I am such a good boy and such a lover. Someone going to get a great cuddler and the best buddy.  That makes me feel so special.  Will it be you?? Meet Speedo! At 5 months old Speedo weighs 30#. We are guessing he will end up being around 40-45#. He is sweet, smart, energetic, curious & fearless. I haven't found anything he is afraid of! Speedo has the cutest curled up tail and beautiful white & brindle markings. He can entertain himself by playing with his toys, but also loves all dogs and people. He is potty trained (we have a dog door). He is quick to learn commands. He already knows come, sit, down, wait, no, off and leave it. He quietly sleeps in his pen at night. Speedo is a typical puppy with lots of energy (usually followed by a nap). He would love a fenced in backyard and/or another dog to play with. Cuddling with this little guy just makes your heart melt. We believe Speedo's mom is a Bassett hound mix weighing just 22# (I have pictures of her). This cute & funny little guy is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on shots and preventatives. His adoption fee is $325.
