While she is not a fan of the cold weather yet, she is getting used to it. Dixie loves nothing more than a good snuggle session on the couch or cuddling up in bed. Her house training is good on a schedule, and she gets along well with other dogs, but may need a bit of time to learn to share high value items such as her people. She also loves her meals and may try to mooch out of other dog's bowls so should be monitored at meal time. She enjoys walks and loves to take in the scents along the path. She will make a wonderful companion . Have not assessed how she does with cats, seems like she would be good with children. From the vet team: Dixie has Cushings Disease which is a condition that produces too much of certain hormones. My future adopters should be aware of what the condition entails and know this will require medication and monitoring with a primary veterinarian.  It was also discovered that I have mammary masses. I have an upcoming surgery to remove these masses. I will be available to go to my forever home after the biopsy results return. Future mass development is something that should be monitored with a primary veterinarian. 

Theodore and Simon were saved together from a horrific situation where they were not treated well. Live in their own fees and full of fleas. Both are dog friendly. Treat motivated. Potty trained and ready for their own loving homes. Transportation is available for approved out of state adopters

Adopted when he was two and spend everyday over the past six years moulding him into what he is today. He is a companion that is treated as one of the guys. He knows commands, tricks, some hunting training, and more. He enjoys walks, playing, cuddling, or just sitting outside and watching the day pass by. He knows a plethora of commands from sit to couch, to chair to high-five. The list goes on. His most recent trick/command is that I taught him to give hugs before bedtime. Basically, he is receptive if you put the time in. He enjoys chasing squirrels and rabbits. I have supported this desire, with control, to further bond with him as well as keep the little buggers out of the garden/yard. I have allowed him to bark if he gets a squirrel in a tree. Enough is the command to stop the barking. Most of the time he just a chill little dude and watches the day pass on a lawn chair. He comes with all his stuff. Food, dishes, toys, bed, kennel, brushes, nail clippers, etc. You supply love

Welcome Daisey to CCPAL foster program. She is an 8-year-old Dachshund/Corgi is our best guess. She has a longer body and upright ears. She is a scenting breed for sure. She is active and social and not the couch potato dog. She weighs 25 pounds. She is good with a dog smaller and a dog larger. The larger dog is a pit Bull and she does good with that more dominant dog as well. She is around children and is a great dog for a family with kiddos. She has a 5 year old and a baby in her home. This family has found they have to move into a rental house. The rental house will only allow 2 dogs. They are sad but there is no other option. Pit Bulls are tougher to rehome so she is rehoming her favorite dog. She was crying telling this story. Daisey is potty trained, good on a leash, good in a car, good with other dogs, kids and strangers. She will need a fenced yard or walked on a leash. She can catch a scent and wonder off. She has a nice sturdy body and will make a great companion for an active family or active senior. She can be an only dog or go with another dog. This dog has a lot of good years in front of her and is by no means an old acting dog. She is in good health, vaccinated, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is a shedding dog but only moderately. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to help get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.
