Story
Phoenix is a boy about 2 years old. He was found wandering the streets, and had possibly been doing so for quite some time. We are not 100% certain of his breed mix, but he has the coloring of a black mouth curr dog, and shows a few dachshund characteristics. He is smallish, weighing approximately 12 lbs. Phoenix is shy and takes a bit to warm up to strangers, but once he does, he is an absolutely lovely little man! He really enjoys playing with toys, and whenever his foster mom takes all the toys for wash day, as soon as they come out of the dryer, he takes them one by one back to his nesting spot. This may be a trait left over from his days on the street. He is not protective of them, anyone can play with whatever toy they choose, but they always end up back in his bed. Due to his shy nature, Phoenix would do best in a home without a lot of activity and roughhousing. He is wary of the crate, but we are working on that. He is housebroken with a doggy door. Phoenix is in good health, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He is a delightful little boy. For more information on this pup or to adopt, please visit our web page at www.limbochihuahuas.org. Our application process includes a home visit and veterinarian and/or personal check. Story
I’m a senior citizen, I’ve had dogs all my life. I was lonely and went on to Pinellas Animal Control. There he was, so adorable, the shelter staff loved him. He’s 8 1/2 yrs old and partially blind, he’s one of the sweetest loving dogs I’ve ever had. My mother is still living at 96, but has dementia. I’ve taken him down to visit her 3 times, but it doesn’t go well at all. She doesn’t want him near her, he’s constantly under your feet. Which is a disaster waiting to happen, with dementia, advanced age and walkers. My brother is moving away and we’ve agreed that she moves in with me. This means I have to move and move mom too. I’m not going to be able to keep my dog, I’m at a loss, and broken hearted. Someone please, he’s adorable, sweet and wants to be touching you. He’s a great couch potato or will play tag of war until your arm falls off. You can handle his paws, bath him, no food aggression, and mess with his mouth and teeth. He just loves the attention. Thank yoU
