Story
Ivy is incredibly smart and sassy (more Basset) she plays well with other dogs her size (and larger), loves people and the few kids we've introduced her to. She gets along great with dogs at the dog park, and is extremely social and friendly. We've tried to curb her jealous and possessive behavior, but sharing a home with our other small dog leads to conflict. Ivy was surrendered twice before us. Mainly due to time commitment conflicts (Bassets are very stubborn and sassy). During her second stay at a shelter, she was attacked by a stray dog who jumped the fence. She won the fight and has a partially clipped ear from it. Despite this, she has never shown aggression towards stranger dogs. We have had her for about 8 months. She is a great dog but, over the past month, has developed a lot of territorial behavior with our other dog, a 15 pound corgi mix. We've decided it's best to re-home her into a home without other dogs or at least, confident dogs of her same size.
