Story
A Journey of Resilience and Love: The beautiful Morel (also known as Peggy), is a 10-month-old Dachshund mix, whose spirit has overcome incredible adversity. Rescued from a hoarding situation, Morel's path to happiness has been paved with challenges, but her resilience shines brighter. In her past, Morel had to fight for every scrap of food, leading to resource guarding. But with patience, love, and training, she's learning to trust and share. Her current foster reports remarkable progress, as she now eats alongside her foster sister without issue.  Morel is being fostered with a puppy who gets very excited to play with her, and Morel will correct her behavior, but for the most part, they rough house while being carefully monitored.  Despite her tumultuous past, Morel exhibits no aggression toward cats, demonstrating her capacity for harmony and coexistence.  Morel seeks a compassionate individual or couple willing to understand her unique needs, and to continue training and socialization. In return, Morel promises unwavering loyalty, cuddles, and joyful companionship. Due to her rough beginnings, she is looking for a home without young children.  Morel is medically up to date, partially housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this sweet girl today!  ##2081657##

Story
"LOVE HEALS" Reishi, a 10-month-old neutered Dachshund mix, has overcome incredible adversity to become the loving companion he is today. Rescued from a Tennessee hoarding case, Reishi's early life was marked by neglect, isolation, and overcrowding. Reishi's start in life was far from ideal. Reishi's fosters have witnessed remarkable growth, and he's now ready for a forever home where he'll continue to blossom as a loyal and loving friend. Reishi is truly a remarkable boy. Initially, he may require gentle interactions, avoiding sudden movements, and close proximity. However, once he's deemed you safe, Reishi's true personality shines: happy, goofy, and affectionate. Consistent training, and socialization will help Reishi build trust and confidence.  With his unique long legs, courtesy of his Min Pin mix heritage, Reishi loves to run. He thrives around dogs, forming instant bonds, outdoor adventures, walks, and playtime.. Older kids (8+) who respect personal space are ideal, while Reishi's curiosity requires a cat-free home. This intelligent pup is always eager to learn and please, treat-motivated, and thriving on positive reinforcement.  By adopting Reishi, you'll not only gain a loving companion but also provide a second chance at a happy life.  ##2083262##
