Story
Found him wandering my street 3 weeks ago. Good boy. Friendly. Trained. Well mannered and chill. Good on a leash. Acts like a dog - barks at squirrels, lounges in the house, hangs out but likes to go on walks. Even not neutered, he doesn’t bother my female dog like that, at all. He is not a high maintenance dog. I want him to have a good home, because he is a good boy.

Story
Estimated DOB 10/1/18, weight 98 pounds. From Lincoln’s rescuer / foster mom: We found this big, beautiful dog chained to the fence behind our business. We’re not sure how long he had been there, but he was left with no food or water, looking so sad. We unchained him and took him inside. A trip to the vet showed that he did have a microchip and was adopted from a shelter in CA in 2019, but his adopter didn’t respond to the microchipping company’s calls or emails. We named him Lincoln…as in Abraham. What does Lincoln mean spiritually? Lincoln signifies deep wisdom and emotional depth. The name suggests overcoming emotional challenges and finding fulfillment. That fits him to a “T.” He no doubt has had some emotional challenges, even though you would never know it, and finding a Furever Family to love him would be that fulfillment. Lincoln is a big ol', sweet boy that loves people. There is absolutely nothing negative that we can say about him. There’s no useless barking. If he does, it’s for a reason. He’s the best at letting us know the doorbell is ringing! Intelligence is not lacking in this boy. He was well-trained and knows Sit, Down, Stay, Get Back, will Shake with either paw, and Speaks. He’s house-broken, crate-trained, loves walks and walks calmly on a leash the majority of the time. However, squirrels can be a distraction. And just to let you know, he’s very strong. Lincoln is very alert, and when outside he’s always looking around and observing. He will just stop and stand still, nose into the wind, looking around intently. Loud noises never make him flinch. He loves his heavy-duty squeaky toys and big tennis ball. Bathing at the Self-Serve Dog Wash was a fun outing for him. Scrubbing and pampering him like the Cowardly Lion from the Wizard of Oz is a special treat. He's so gentle. We’ve never been around a dog like this and have come to find out he is quite exceptional. Say the word “go” or “car,” and he’s ready. He gets so excited and heads to the back of the SUV to jump in. He puts his front paws on the console, navigating every turn and loves to stick his nose out the window to see the sights as well as smell the new aromas. If you've had a big dog before and are looking for some ‘big-dog love’ to share your life with, Lincoln is your dog!  HOPE ID: D24-1122-0046 If you are interested in Lincoln and would like to fill out a Dog Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt from us but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. HELP US PREVENT EUTHANASIA: Cesar is a 8-year-old, neutered, Mastiff mix who weighs 95-pounds.OWNER SURRENDER NOTES:*Reason: Household member is pregnant*Friendly and loves people*Knows sit and catches treats in the air*Outside during the day on a `chain`, inside at nightIf he does not find a foster, adopter, or rescue it devastates us to know that this is an outcome that he will face. We are enlisting the help of the community to help find him the very best possible outcome because Cesar deserves it!SHELTER COMMENTS: *Well mannered in kennel!Meet Cesar, a magnificent gentle giant tipping the scales at 95 pounds of pure heart! We would like to note that this gentle giant does not jump on people and walks well on a leash with moderate pulling (when excited). With a heart as big as the size of Texas, this easygoing canine revels in the warmth of the sunshine, finding joy in every sunbeam that kisses his fur. But what truly sends his tail wagging is the thrill of a good game of fetch—tennis balls are his ultimate obsession! Watch as he bounds through the grass, a blend of power and grace, his joyful spirit radiating warmth to everyone around him. In Cesar’s eyes, every moment is an adventure, and every human is a cherished friend. Cesar deserves to have a loving home.
