Story
Molly's people moved and left her behind. Molly is a playful loving, sweet girl who gets along with everybody. She does not jump fences but she loves to get out and run. Sometimes she acts like a puppy even though she's 5 years old. She's a big girl and she uses her muscle sometimes to push her way through the other dogs and get where she wants to go but she never attacks anybody or does anybody any harm she just likes to throw her weight around lol. She is a doll would love someone to wrestle with and go on walks with. She is Crate trained and house trained but she would love something to chew on in her crate at all times. Like I said, she still thinks she is a puppy with her chewing! She's good with big dogs and little dogs! Molly has been with us for over a year and would very much like a home of her own. Please come and meet Molly today. She would love to be your couch potato partner.

Story
Hey there! I'm Beans, your future best friend! I'm an adorable brindle mastiff mix, and I can't wait to meet you. I’m a friendly pup who loves to make new friends, and I have a special soft spot for stuffies—they’re my absolute favorite! I consider myself pretty well-behaved, especially when it comes to walks. I know how to walk nicely on a leash and will stay right by your side, making our adventures together a breeze. Just the other day, I took a nice, relaxing stroll to the Dart, and let me tell you, I was fantastic on the leash. No pulling from me! I’ve got a sweet side, too. I absolutely adore getting love and attention, and I’ll sit patiently to take treats gently, all while looking up at you with my big brown eyes and a happy smile. Every time I see you, I run over like you’re the most special person in the world—because you really are to me! I promise my heart is big enough for all the love and joy you bring. I’m just a sweet ol' boy looking for my forever home, and if you’re in need of a loving and friendly companion, I’m your doggo! Let’s create some amazing memories together—I can’t wait to start our journey! For more information, to adopt, foster, or foster to adopt Beans please contact Rowlett Animal Shelter.November 6, 2024, 7:28 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bruno seems to have been dumped by his owner in a rural area near the home base of Bluebonnet Animal Rescue. He was posted and shared on social media by various local folks, but no one claimed him. He was scanned for a microchip but didn't have one. A kind family was feeding him, but he continued to roam the area, until he turned up one day with terrible injuries. The family contacted us, and we sent them to the closest veterinarian. Bruno needed two surgeries to repair his wounds, which the vet thinks were likely the result of an encounter with a feral hog. We didn't have space to bring Bruno to Windsong Ranch, so he was boarded at the vet clinic while he recovered from his injuries. He was also neutered and vaccinated while there, and heartworm tested -- negative, thank goodness! We partnered with a rescue in the upper Midwest and they found an adopter for Bruno. Sadly, though the adopter's boyfriend didn't like Bruno, and the adopter chose the boyfriend over the dog. (Some of us would have chosen differently!) Bruno was sent back to Texas and has been at Windsong Ranch since late December. Bruno is a BIG boy, and can get very excited if you let him run in a big yard off-leash. When he's on a leash, he has VERY good manners. He also has good manners in the house. He was in a foster home briefly with dogs of all sizes plus a cat, and he did well with everyone. Here at Windsong Ranch, he has gotten along well with all the dogs we have introduced to him. Due to his large size and his exuberance, we think Bruno will do best in a home with adults only, or with sturdy kids, preferably teens or older. Bruno is really just a giant puppy who hasn't fully learned that his size and speed combined make him a real force to be reckoned with! Please note the photos though -- You can see that even with just a light slip-lead on, the handler has a very light/loose hold on the leash, and Bruno is not pulling on the leash. And he's a LOVE leaner, just leaning into his handler because he's such a lovebug. We're making our best guess about Bruno's breed. Normally, we don't suggest that a dog is a breed that isn't very common, and Boerboels are NOT very common in Texas. BUT, there's a Boerboel breeder in North Texas, less than an hour's drive from where Bruno turned up, so it's definitely possible that he's the offspring of a dog who came from that breeder.  It's important to note that surgeries to repair his injuries changed the look of Bruno's face/muzzle somewhat. Before his encounter with a feral hog, Bruno looked a LOT like a Boerboel. After his surgeries, his face looks a bit like a Boerboel, and a bit like an Anatolian Shepherd. But his build and his tail look more Boerboel to us. Still, several folks who have seen his photos would just swear he looks like an Anatolian. People who MEET Bruno, usually think Boerboel or Boerboel mix is more likely. We can't say for sure, but if you would like to donate a DNA test, we would be glad to find out!   If Bruno sounds like the perfect addition to your family, please complete the application on our website.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 28, 2024, 12:12 pm

Story
Molly is a 1 ½ year old chunky monkey full Saint Bernard. She has more energy than most Saints dream of. She loves to play fetch and would love for someone to take her on walks and give her the attention and training that she needs. She is approximately 100 pounds and could stand to lose a few pounds. She is spayed, current on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and house trained for the most part. If you are wanting a fabulous Saint Bernard that can be active with their humans, Molly should be considered. She is always happy and is always so excited to see and be touched by her humans. Molly would prefer to be the only dog, however, she lived with her mother and sister most of her life. In concern for families with small children, we will not adopt a dog to a home with any child under the age of 5. This is due to the large size of Saint Bernards and the safety of your children. Our Saint Bernards are not aggressive or mean in any way, they can just knock down children easily. If you would like to visit our pups please contact St. Cloud's Rescue at www.stcloudsrescue.org or call 972-679-5319. The first step in adopting from St. Cloud's Rescue is to complete an application. The application may be found OUR WEBSITE at www.stcloudsrescue.org. Please click on the application process, complete and then email it. Once the application has been sent please call us to confirm that we have received it. St.Cloud's Rescue maintains the right to deny applications to anyone for any reason we see fit. St. Cloud Rescue is a non-profit 501-c-3 organization. St. Clouds Rescue requires new owners to purchase a one year supply of heartworm preventative from us, which is at cost. We require a home visit prior to all placements. All our dogs must be microchipped at a cost of $20.00. There is a $350.00 donation fee. All dogs adopted through St Clouds Rescue must be indoors. St. Bernards can not tolerate the Texas heat.

Story
Nana is the mother of Sullivan, the 7-month puppy. Both were found to be strays. Nana weighs approximately 110 pounds and has a beautiful rough coat. She is spayed, current on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. She does have an extra long tongue which she was either born with or it was due to trauma sometime in her life. It does not affect her ability to eat or drink, she just has a very long tongue. She is approximately 2-3 years old, has a great disposition and is ready and looking forward to finding a wonderful new forever-home. In concern for families with small children, we will not adopt a dog to a home with any child under the age of 5. This is due to the large size of Saint Bernards and the safety of your children. Story
Miss Honeybun is a senior Saint Bernard that weighs approximately 95-100 pounds. She has had a hard life and has been used for breeding all her life until we rescued her. She is very sweet, loving and well behaved. After all she has been through, she still thinks people are wonderful humans. When you look into her eyes, they almost speak to you. She responds to most verbal words like a human. She is almost magical. Honeybun is looking for a home where someone will give her the love and attention she has never had. She is low energy and will just sit and let you pet her and love on her. She is good to other dogs that we have introduced to her. She is spayed and is recovering from bloat surgery. We have had her stomach tacked so she should never have to worry about bloating again. She does need her rabbi shot and which will be done prior to her leaving St. Cloud’s Rescue. She is heartworm negative and will be current on all vaccinations before she leaves St. Clouds. In concern for families with small children, we will not adopt a dog to a home with any child under the age of 5. This is due to the large size of Saint Bernards and the safety of your children.
