Story
This is one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever had to make. Lady Bird has been a beloved part of our family, our loyal companion, and our gentle friend. She’s brought us so much joy, love, and laughter. But with heavy hearts, we’ve come to the decision that we need to find her a new home. Our 1-year-old daughter was recently diagnosed with a pet allergy. We’ve done everything we can to manage it—keeping Lady Bird mostly in her crate, limiting contact—but it’s becoming clear that it’s not a long-term solution. And now that we’re expecting another baby, it’s becoming even harder to juggle it all. This decision is not about Lady Bird—she is an incredible dog with so much love to give. It’s about doing what’s best for our family, especially for our children’s health and well-being. We never imagined having to let her go, but we know she deserves a home where she can run freely, be close to her people, and get all the love and attention she deserves.

Story
Tori was recently interviewed to see why she hasn't been adopted. She is picky!  Tori believes she deserves the best family. Here is what she wants in a new home.1. Love me as I will love you - unconditionally and forever.2. Spend time with me. Exercise me daily3. Feed me good healthy food4. Let me join in with all the family activities. I am a good girl and obedient.5. I need at least one other playmate with my energy level..6. I love water and would like nothing better than to play on the beach in the waves. These don't seem to be a tough list of requirements does it?Tori is Brindle with the classic face. She is as sweet as she can be. Tori loves to play but would like nothing better than to snuggle on the couch. She insists on hugs not kisses and will sneak a drink of unprotected coffee if you aren't watching!   Tori is great with all her foster siblings from the smallest to the biggest. She follows behind her brothers and plays chase in the yard or hide and seek in the house. She is going to make an awesome addition to any family. Tori is cautious and shy. She will need patience and love in her new home but once she has gained confidence she will be totally dedicated.

Story
MEET SHEBA ******************************************************************************************************** BOERBEL traits: * Muscular and very strong * loyal and protective companion * intelligent and very trainable * can be reserved with strangers * requires firm and consistent leadership Sheba is a 4 year old Boerbel/Mastiff mix weighing about 120 lbs. Background: Sheba had to be rehomed from the only family she has ever known. This change was very difficult for her, but fortunately she is being fostered by a family experienced with this breed who have helped her through this change. Personality: Sheba, like all Boerbels, needs a few days to adjust and warm up to her new surroundings. But once she feels comfortable, she is a great dog. Foster describes her as a pure couch potato, just happy to relax most of the day. She is a quiet dog who loves to play with her toys more than anything and which she can be protective of. Sheba is potty trained and has no destructive tendencies at all. Health: Sheba had some skin issues when she came to us but a higher quality diet has helped improve and alleviate this problem. She has been spayed and is fully vaccinated. We know of no health concerns. Perfect Family: * Sheba's ideal home would be with adults only or a family with older children (12+). She seems confused by young children and would adjust better without them in the home. * Preferably she would be the only dog in the home. The exception would be small to medium sized MALE dogs only. She does not like or do well with female dogs. * A secure yard is an absolute must! Like many Boerbels, Sheba has a protective quality and likes to monitor her space. * Experienced Boerbel handlers would be ideal. Also necessary are patient and responsible adopters who understand large breeds and are willing to give Sheba time to adjust in a new environment. * Adopters willing to provide some form of training would get a great companion dog. Sheba is fostered in Livingston, TX and is with No One's Dog Rescue, a registered 501(c)3 non-profit. We require completion of our Adoption Application before meeting any of our dogs. Please request our form.

Story
On October 30th, 2024, a Good Samaritan found this big, beautiful dog chained to the fence behind our business. They took this sweet boy in and named him Lincoln. They have been incredibly fostering him ever since, but he would love nothing more than a forever home!! If you are interested in adopting this sweet boy, please email us at info@scoutshonor.org. See what his amazing fosters have to say about him: “Not sure how long he had been there but he was left there looking so sad, with no food or water. We only go out there once a week so it was a blessing that a contractor found him. After we discoveredhe was friendly, we unchained him and took him inside. A trip to the vet showed he was microchipped from a shelter in Petaluma, CA where he was adopted in 2019. He is a 6-1/2 year old beautiful, fawn and white Mastiff/Great Dane. He stands 26" at his shoulders, 33" top of head to floor and weighs in at 98 pounds. Here is a big ol' sweet boy that absolutely loves people! We've had him for a while so we know there is absolutely nothing negative that we can say about him. There’s no useless barking. If he does, it’s for a good reason. He’s the best at letting us know the doorbell is ringing. Intelligence and memory are not lacking. He’s already trained with commandssuch as sit, down, stay, back, shakes hands with either pawand speaks on command. A gentleman he is, has never had an accident inside, loves walks/runs and walks calmly on a leash the majority of the time. He would benefit from a little more training. And just to let you know, he’s very strong. He's quite alert and when outside and is always looking around and observing. He will just stop and stand still, nose into the wind, looking around intently. And running! He loves to take off and run like a thoroughbred. It’s a beautiful sight.Loud noises never make him flinch. He loves to sniff around cars/tires but never does the “typical dog thing” on tires. He’s calm and oh, so lovable. His fur is very soft which makes him so huggable. Hanging out in the sun on his special carpet is one of his favs. This guy loves to be sung to, spoken to lightly and loves secrets whispered in his ear. He will look you in the eyes and you would swear he’s reading your mind. Try and win a staring contest with him. Bathing at the Self Serve Dog Wash at PetCo is a fun time for him, or so we like to think. Scrubbing and pampering him like the Cowardly Lion from the Wizard of Oz is a special treat. He's so patient. We’ve come to find out he is quite exceptional. Say the words “wanna go?” and he’s ready. He gets so excited and heads to the door and then to the back of the SUV to jump in. He puts his front paws on the console, navigating every turn and loves to stick his nose out the window to see the sights and smell the new aromas. We’ve named him Lincoln…as in Abraham. What does Lincoln mean spiritually? Lincoln signifies deep wisdom and emotional depth. The name suggests overcoming emotional challenges and finding fulfillment. That fits him to a “T”. He no doubt has had some emotional challenges, even though you would never know. Finding a Furever Family to love him would be that fulfillment. He’s up to date on all vaccinations. Because of his size and his tail that wags with gusto, he probably would not be good around small children or possibly cats. He does get along with other dogs as long as they don’t pick on him.” April 14, 2025, 11:35 pm

Story
Saint is a purebred Boerboel from a highly exclusive bloodline and reputable kennel. We invested $5,000 in acquiring him, which reflects both his pedigree and quality. While it is difficult for us to consider rehoming him, our landlord has expressed strong concerns about his presence on the property. Saint is currently 11 months old and weighs approximately 135 pounds. Given that his sire weighs 200 pounds and his dam 170 pounds, he is expected to grow into a very large and powerful adult. If you are seriously interested or would like more information about Saint, please don’t hesitate to reach out
