Story
Meet Chuck Norris (knows Chuck or Groot)! Chuck is a Shepard mix weighing in at 75 lbs. Chuck is one of the most well-behaved, sweetest pups and great with all humans big and small. He is a gentle giant, laid back and quiet and just likes to hang out around his humans.  Chuck does wonderful free roaming the house and does not need to be crated. He is fully house trained. Loves to explore the neighborhood on walks and does well on a leash (does get excited when seeing other dogs). We recommend keeping Chuck as your one-and-only based on past experience with other dogs. He is a little skittish and scared around cats but might warm up if the cat gives him space. Chuck just wants to chill, be next to his humans, explore the yard and neighborhood and just be loved and give love. He is looking for a low-medium energy household that will give him space to play, love and be himself. He is a wonderful, loving dog hoping to find the perfect family to spend the rest of his life with.  November 7, 2024, 6:35 pm

Story
Meet Zay. She’s a 2-2 year old mastiff mix with the squishiest face ever (she’s also the aster of RBF). Zay came to us completely shut down, defeated, in a constant state of fear. After lots of confidence training, she has come out of her shell and absolutely loves to play with dogs, totally ignores cats and even enjoys taking treats and pets from humans. Zay is potty trained, crate trained and has been through several weeks of obedience training in addition to confidence building. She’ll come with training for her new family and the tools that have helped her “dog”. Zay REQUIRES at least one other dog living in home with her; we are not making exceptions as the trainer has advised us this is a necessity for her. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   November 14, 2024, 2:43 pm

Story
Hiya! My name is Simba. I am a sweet guy that knows sit and shake with both paws. I am very food motivated but will wait patiently for treats. I love going outside and trotting around the play yards. Despite my age I still love to chase after tennis balls. I do fine with other dogs as long as they are respectful. Young hyper dogs are a bit too much for me. But I can cohabitate with older more relaxed dogs. What I really love is attention from people. I love to lean up against people to show my affection. I am unsure if I’m okay with cats. But I can always be tested here at the shelter. I havne’t been around kids, but I would most likely do best around kids 12 and up. Please consider giving me a home.To adopt one of our animals, please visit our shelter, open Tuesday-Friday from Noon-6pm and Saturday from Noon-4pm. You may also submit an application online from our website at http://www.HelpTheAnimalsINC.com/adopt.

Story
Looking for love and a great home. Garnet is a super sweet big lug of a mastiff.  Garnets house burnt down December 27, 2022 and he was so badly burned no one was sure if we could save him.  We felt really bad for him and his owner, so we cared for Garnet while getting him well. It took 6 months of horrible pain stacking medical Care. He is great now but he will be scared for life but looks great.  His owner rebuilt and wanted him back.  Now she has decided it would be better for him for us to find him a loving home.  He is truely a very special guy.   Garnets date of birth September 17, 2020. Garnet is fawn with a black mask.  He is up to date on vaccines, on heartworm prevention, micro chipped with Home Again  he is well enough to be neutered and that happens on 11-28-23. We do not have any pictures of his after he was healed as good as he gets. We lost all  the pictures but we have pictures of his long six months of Recovery.  If you have room in your heart and home for this sweet boy or any of our other wonderful, beautiful babies please email Miracle House Animal Rescue and we will send you our adoption questionnaire: miraclehouserescue@gmail.com. We are located just east of Cincinnati, Ohio, out Route 32, in Brown County. We work by appointment only, after you are approved.
