My name is Tulip and I am almost 4 years old and I arrived at the shelter from the local dog control officer as I was found as a stray and no-one claimed me. Tulip is a beautiful dog...but she is also a unique and complex dog....as she likes to pick and choose her people and she has some trust issues with strangers. No fast movements, no busy households and no kids for this gal. But, she does well with other dogs and is very playful with them. She likes toys....especially her stuffed alligator toys and anything green! She is very loyal and sweet to the staff that she has bonded with. When she is comfortable with you, and she trusts and bonds with you, then she is a fantastic dog. She is a dog that would require repeated meet and greets with the potential adopter.

My name is Starlight....or you can also call me Lilly! Staff think I am a mix of a labrador and a mastiff mix - my coat is unique as it is a silvery gray and brindle and I have light brown eyes...I also weigh 70 lbs. I had arrived at the shelter with my 2 puppies, Iris & Sunny. Those days of being a mom are over now...as I am spayed!!! I am a very strong girl and would do best in a house without children, dogs or cats....I need to be your one and only!!!

UPDATE: 20-Jan-2025: Hank is now housed and available at Herkimer County Humane Society Hank is approximately 3.5 years of age. I adopted him from Herkimer county humane society in August of 2024. He is a huge love bug. I have not had him around young children, but was involved with a late stage dementia senior. The goof will block your walking space just to get some loving. Great snuggler. Some St Bernard slobber. Learns his boundaries but will allow his nose to create wandering. Is weary of strange males until he feels that male is a safe person. Decent leash manners. Local rehoming includes his crate ( Jumbo). Extremely good natured for bathing at the local Dog Wash facility. Great boy to also take for walks to create a coyote perimeter!
