Hi my name is Bear! I’m a big goofball that loves to cuddle with my people. I was taken in by my family when I was just a few weeks old and have been in the same home since. I’m just over two now so I still have some puppy energy but I am also a couch potato. I’m good with people and kids but I still haven’t gotten the hang of my size and so sometimes I still jump up to greet people. I am not a fan of other dogs especially around the kids in my home so I would do best in a single dog family. My family is unfortunately going to be out of the country for almost the whole year coming up due to work so they want me to find someone who can care for me properly. I am crate trained and potty trained!

She may have come from neglect, but she has blossomed into the sweetest girl who just wants to be close to her people. This adorable mastiff-mix pup is around 1 year old and loves affection — once she knows she’s safe, she melts right into you for pets, snuggles, and quiet moments of comfort. She’s silly, wiggly, and puppy-playful, but always gentle in everything she does. Sparrow gets along beautifully with other dogs, looks to her humans for reassurance, and is learning that the world can be a kind place. I was saved from the City of Buffalo Shelter, and I am so happy to be in a foster home. I just turned 1 recently and I am full grown now. I am potty trained, and I can let you know by going to the back door. I sleep in my crate all night long with minimal initial complaints. I love going for long walks and exploring the neighborhood. I also like to hang out at home and be close to my foster family. I am a perfect companion to snuggle up with on the couch! There are other dogs in my foster home, and I get nervous and scared sometimes, so very slow introductions are a must. I do not get along with cats so a home without them would help me thrive. I get nervous around sudden and unpredictable movements so a home with older teenage children is preferred. I am continuously working on training so I can be the best-behaved boy I can be. I’ve already learned several commands like touch, down, sit, go home. I am currently learning place, go say hi and even how to play fun games! I am very food motivated and will do just about anything for a treat. When I first wake up, I have so much energy from sleeping all night long that I get the zoomies and sometimes a little overactive with the nibbles, but I promise I am working on it. When I am in the backyard, I like to run, play ball and bounce all around. I love to jump so a fenced in yard would be ideal for me. The best part about outside is sunbathing or playing in my little blue pool when it’s warm out. I try to eat the bubbles and chomp at the water. Don’t get me wrong I do love to play in the snow too! Please remember I was a stray most of my young life and I get nervous when meeting new people, so patience is needed as I learn all the things. I had arrived at the shelter with my 2 puppies, Iris & Sunny. Those days of being a mom are over now...as I am spayed!!! My name is Tulip and I am almost 4 years old and I arrived at the shelter from the local dog control officer as I was found as a stray and no-one claimed me. Tulip is a beautiful dog...but she is also a unique and complex dog....as she likes to pick and choose her people and she has some trust issues with strangers. No fast movements, no busy households and no kids for this gal. But, she does well with other dogs and is very playful with them. She likes toys....especially her stuffed alligator toys and anything green! She is very loyal and sweet to the staff that she has bonded with. When she is comfortable with you, and she trusts and bonds with you, then she is a fantastic dog. She is a dog that would require repeated meet and greets with the potential adopter.
