Returned adoption, pulled woman down and injured her. DOG AGRESSIVEThis is Xylo... This older gentleman has been here in our shelter since July 2023, due to a housing issue. Xylo is 7+ years, and 66 lbs, he's a true shadow dog, wanting to be by your side & getting all the loving. This big guy knows sit, paw, and down. Xylo loves to please his person. He can be dog selective and is recommended to be the only pet. We are recommending he go to a home with no small children due to his strength and size.Update 4/27/24 Xylo had a suspicious growth removed last week, but thankfully the biopsy came back that it was benign (Not cancer)! Now he's back to acting like a puppy again and ready for his furever family. Primary Color: Brown Brindle Secondary Color: White Age: 8yrs 8mths 3wks

From her foster: Nelly has adjusted super quick so far! We've played in the yard a few times, she's been running and playfully chasing the kids around, and successfully going to the bathroom out there too. We've also purchased some toys, blankets and a new larger bed for her, although she's only using it as a pillow. We gave her a bath about an hour ago with some oatmeal shampoo, and she did so well with staying in the tub and letting us clean her up! The kids really enjoy her and she really enjoys them, following them around the house and sitting at the foot of wherever they're sitting. My youngest is autistic and she's been keeping an eye on him like she's known him her whole life. She's currently curled up in a blanket, snoring away.

I am thankful for Haven`s goofy and silly personality. Despite being in a kennel for most of her day she remains a happy, silly playful girl. Haven`s perfect home would have a yard with toys for her to play with. She can occupy herself for a long time by rolling around in the grass and playing with her toys. She also knows basic commands and is eager to please. Especially if treats are involved! Her perfect person would be someone that wants a loyal companion who will be happy going on walks, getting belly rubs or just cuddling on the couch.
