You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Meet the magnificent Miss Hetti. She is a playful, energy abundant Cane Corso, and likely, boxer mix. She loves tummy rubs, fetch, and Benebone chew toys. Hetti thrives on multiple walks per day however can over heat quickly in higher temps. She is very strong and still learning manners with passing animals so an experienced handler and dog owner is a must. She loves greeting people but due to her size and still puppy behaviors, a house with kids over 12 is preferred. For Hetti to live her best life she should be a solo canine with a large fenced yard and an active owner willing to give her the exercise and attention she needs. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. January 5, 2025, 6:00 pm

Story
He was left behind when his owners moved out. Very affectionate. He looks like a goofy, kind of floppy hound dog as he ambles around. He’s sweet and affectionate. Gets along with most dogs. He’s a little bossy with food especially with a timid dog. Feeding in a crate solves that. Loves his play time in the yard with two stout dogs. Great on a leash. The Adoption Fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Treatment and Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. Tanner's adoption fee (if picked up locally in Crossville, Tennessee) is $225. If transport is needed, his adoption fee is $525 (out of state, East Coast, Great Lakes or New England regions).Thank You for Your Interest in Adopting a Canine Companion from Foccas-tn.org!To Apply Please Copy and Paste to Your Browser:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=hb2428&method=online_form_html&formid=41LOCATED IN CROSSVILLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Chompers – The Gentle Giant Ready for His Forever Home! Name: Chompers Breed: Olde English Mastiff Weight: A whopping 155 pounds Age: Born around September 2023 About Chompers: Chompers may be large in size, but his heart is even bigger! This friendly and outgoing giant is a bundle of love and joy, looking for a family that can handle his size and love his big heart. At just over a year old, Chompers has plenty of energy to burn, and he’s ready to spend his days playing, cuddling, and exploring with you. Chompers gets along wonderfully with other dogs and seems to thrive when he has furry friends to play with. Whether it’s chasing a ball or just lounging together, he’s all about companionship. Because of his size, he’d do best in a home with kids 13 years or older—he's just too big for younger ones to safely play with, but he’s gentle and loving with everyone he meets! Why Chompers? Loyal and Loving: This gentle giant will shower you with affection and loyalty. Playful: With his outgoing nature, Chompers is always up for fun and games—especially with other dogs! Big Heart: While he may be large, his heart is as soft as can be. He just wants to be part of the family. Perfect for Active Families: If you’re an active household looking for a big buddy to share adventures with, Chompers might just be the perfect fit! What Chompers Needs: Chompers is looking for a loving family that understands the needs of a large breed dog. His new home should have space for him to stretch his legs, play, and relax comfortably. He’s ready to learn all about his new home and will need some guidance as he continues to grow and mature. If you’re looking for a fun, loving, and giant companion, Chompers is your guy. Come meet him and see what an amazing addition he’ll be to your family! Ready to make Chompers part of your pack? Don’t wait—contact us today to meet this sweet boy and see if you’re the right fit for his forever home! Story
Hey there, Arnold here! If you're searching for a handsome, fun-loving guy who's always up for an adventure, I'm your dog! I'm currently hanging out in my kennel, patiently waiting for the chance to meet you and show you just how great I am. The volunteers here love taking me to events because I'm a rockstar in the car and well-behaved in public. I’m the life of the party during pack walks with my dog friends, and I have a blast at playgroups. But don’t worry, I’m just as excited to play with my humans, too—especially when it comes to tug-of-war! Just a heads-up though... I’ve got some serious tug strength, so you better be ready, because I might just pull you down in the process! I’m looking for an active, fun-loving family who can keep up with my energy. I’m eager to learn, so I’ll need a family that has the time and patience to continue my training and match my enthusiasm. I currently know sit, down, paw, look/focus, stay, and come. I am a total rockstar when it comes to obedience commands and super easy to train with food. While I still need to work on my leash manners, I promise I’ll be an amazing hiking or jogging buddy once I’ve got those down. A fenced-in yard is a must for me to run and play, and I’d be thrilled to have older kids who can appreciate my playful, sometimes clumsy nature. If you’ve got another dog, that could be awesome too! We just need to make sure we’re introduced properly. I’m crate-trained and have been noted to be accident-free in a home setting, so I’ve got the basics covered. I can’t wait to meet you and your family! Don’t miss the chance to bring this handsome, energetic guy into your life. Together, we’ll make memories that’ll last a lifetime! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you would like to meet Arnold, please submit an application for him on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs. He is neutered, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $250, which helps cover the cost of the medical care he has received. **Please note that the breed listed for each of our dogs is a rough estimate unless DNA results are provided in their Bio. All strays have rough estimates on their age based on the condition of their teeth. Each dog is different, so each adoption is different. Our adoption process might require multiple visits to the shelter before our dogs can go home. Or they may be ready on the first visit. It really depends on the individual dog and the potential adopters. Once we receive your application, the Dog Staff will contact you to discuss meeting our dogs.

Story
Meet Doug! This handsome boy is available for adoption! He is a super nice, loving boy that is in dire need of a forever home. He's less than 5 years old and a Mastiff mix. He is neutered, heartworm tested and vaccinated. Is this dog house trained? Expect to house train a newly adopted dog. Some dogs will pick it up faster than others. Successful house training largely depends on patience and consistent encouragement. Most of the dogs that end up in shelters are mixed breeds that can have 2 to 10 different breeds in their DNA. The breed listed is only the best guess of the shelter volunteers. To apply to adopt online go to https://wacshelter.com/adopt-a-dog/ ALL ANIMALS LISTED AS ADOPTABLE ARE AVAILABLE TO BE ADOPTED. *ADOPTION FEE: $150 (cash only) includes spay/neuter, distemper vaccine, heartworm test, and rabies vaccine.

Story
Nina is a 3 year old Mastiff mix. She was adopted around 6 months old from the animal shelter. She does not think she is a big dog, and loves to cuddle and always wants to be around people! She will attempt to lay in your lap whenever she can. Shes house broken and also crate trained. Rarely barks unless she hears a noise late at night, but nothing excessive. Shes good with other dogs(when introduced properly), cats and kids! She’s a bigger dog and would knock a smaller kid down, please keep that in mind! She needs a fenced yard, or a way to keep her from running off. I want her to go to a good home, so I will inquire about this. Please reach out with any questions- I’ll be happy to answer them! She’s a really great dog! I would like her to go to someone who has the time and commitment for a great companion!
