Story
Atlas | Mastiff and Lab Mix | DOB: 08.01.2020 | 75 pounds | Only Animal | Older Kids | Meet Atlas! Atlas is a beautiful 60 pound brindle mastiff and lab mix. He is 4 years old and a very sweet and down to earth boy. Atlas sat in a city shelter for over 6 months before coming to us. Atlas loves his people, especially if they’re women. He is a lover and such a sweetheart. Atlas is an overall chill and happy boy. He listens very well off leash and his favorite thing to do is play with toys out in the yard. Atlas is a playful boy and loves to throw his toys around the house. He loves walks and he absolutely loves treats. He will often lay with his paws crossed, as any sophisticated boy would do. We are looking for a home with no younger children, as they can be loud. Atlas is not good with dogs or cats. Atlas is potty trained and crate trained. He has never had an accident in the home or in his crate while we’re at work. He’s a great walker on the leash. If he sounds like a good fit, adopt our boy today!

Story
Hi! My name is Mia! I am 3 years old, 93lbs and already spayed so I can go home with you today! I came to the shelter when my owners were moving and I have lived with other dogs and cats and did well with both previously! I am also housebroken and already crate trained! I sometimes am a little shy meeting new people, but seem to warm up rather quickly. I take my treats well and walk good on a leash! I’m hoping to find my new forever family! Come meet me today!! The shelter does offer a Cuddle Before You Commit program to ensure I am the right fit for you! Please remember, slow and proper introductions are always best to set me up for success.**Please apply on our website at indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet. Go to the website, click on the adoption application link, enter the information and hit submit. Once you have submitted your application please visit the shelter to speak with a member of our adoption staff. You can include multiple animals you are interested in on one application. Thank you for your interest in adopting one of our FABULOUS PETS! We hope to see you soon, The IACS Adoptions Team.

Story
We rescued Mocha in July 2021. She was estimated to be around 6-7 months old at the time so she is around 3-3.5 years old. Due to our current life circumstances, we are unable to give Mocha the love and attention she needs. We had her professionally trained so she listens well. She loves to play and is very energetic. She is also extremely sweet and innocent. She has been spayed and chipped. She is great with kids, other dogs, and cats. We have 2 other dogs, one female (Harley, who we are also re-homing) and one male. She gets along great with both. We would love for Mocha and Harley to be adopted together since they have bonded closely over the past 2.5 years. However, we understand this may not be possible. They can be pretty rambunctious at times so they will need a home with someone who has time to exercise them, take them on walks, etc.

Story
We rescued Doyle from our local shelter as we suspected an obstruction. He received surgery, in which several things were found, including foam and screws. He has recovered nicely from the procedure and has gained over 20lbs! He has had no interested in eating anything other than food since his surgery. We suspect he was starved, and resorted to eating whatever he could find at the time. Doyle is delightful, friendly and low energy. He has no clue that he doesn't fit in your lap, and wants nothing more than to flop his body all over you in lovings! If you have kids, we would recommend children over the age of 10, as he is a big boy!

Story
Harry is a big, lovable derpy dog who loves everyone he meets. Harry is about 85% potty trained and he’s 100% lapdog. He doesn't know how big he is, and wears his love on the outside. He is certainly a very happy dog if he has room to move. No fault of his own, Harry has been bounced around from home to home and did a couple tours of the city shelter when we stepped in and decided to give him a chance. Harry has had very little structure in his young life and he most likely missed the window of development when dogs learn to read other dogs. So, while he absolutely loves other dogs, he has no idea how to read body language. Because of this, Harry will need slow introductions and a tolerant dog friend to set him up for success when meeting other dogs. Harry has some separation anxiety and would do best in a home where he gets to go most places with his people or his people are home a lot. Harry also has no idea that he’s an 95 lb dog with more weight to put on. Because of Harry's large size and inability to read personal space, he would do better with a stronger person of stature. Harry thinks he is still a puppy and can easily be unpredictable with his joy. He's basically a lovable-wrecking ball in dog form. Harry has the stubbornness of a mastiff. If he doesn't want to do something he either plays "catch the mastiff" or "dead mastiff." Both can be frustrating, but also funny if you like that kind of thing. Most of what Harry is trying to avoid is being alone. You absolutely will not find a dog with a bigger heart than Harry. But I’m not gonna lie, he is A LOT. He’s got some baggage from being bounced around. He needs structure, patience, and time. And, of course, lots of love. Are you Harry’s person? Fill out an adoption application on our website, Sketchymuttsandunderdogs.org and we will set up a time to talk about him! *Adopters must live in Central Indiana, no more than 45 min from downtown Indy

Mastiff German Shepherd Dog

Story
Belle originally came to us as an 8 week old puppy found as a stray. She was adopted and then at 14 months old because adopters had not provided any training and were started to struggle with adolescent shepherd behaviors. She is currently living in a foster home with 9 other dogs and doing well. She is high energy and likes to play hard. While she has been around children, we do not recommend small children due to her size and energy level. She is crate trained and potty trained. She would do best in a home with a fenced in yard, and someone who is committed to ongoing training. Belle is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
