Story
MAXX & ME PET RESCUE adoptable dogsMeet Chip!   This handsome Mastiff mix is currently looking for his forever home. He is about 4 years old and 60-70lbs, although he looks larger (think tall, dark and handsome ;-). Chip currently lives with several other dogs and does great, but we feel that he may like to be your only dog or just with one very nice dog. He needs a calm environment.   Chip was rescued from Miami Dade Animal Services after we saw videos of him shaking in his kennel there. He was brought to us in Tampa and has been in a foster home ever since. While he can take a bit to warm up to new people, once he trusts you, he will bond very deeply with you and count on you for reassurance and love. He loves women and chooses them first.    He is cuddly, gives kisses to his people and interacts with the other dogs in his home. He needs a secure 6' fenced yard (no exceptions) and ideally just a single person or a couple for a quiet home. Because of his nervousness, he needs a home without children, just a quiet serene environment where he can love his people.    Chip is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. His adoption donation is $250.    Adoption applications for Chip can be done at maxxandme.org. Please send one email to maxxandmerescue@gmail.com to confirm receipt of your application.    Maxx & Me is an all volunteer, all foster home rescue and do not have a shelter. Please allow at least 48 hours for applications to be processed (missing information may slow the process, so please take your time and be thoughtful in your answers). All dogs posted are available (so no need to ask). We place dogs based on best home for each dog and not order of applications received. Email us at maxxandmerescue@gmail.com for updates and questions. Thank you for choosing rescue. November 3, 2024, 8:21 pm

Story
Hakota is a sweet dog that is well trained. Unfortunately our situation has changed, and we can no longer afford to take care of her. She is extremely loyal and protective of her loved ones. She is no longer living the quality of life that she deserves, and we have had to make the tough decision to find a better home for her. This is pretty much our last resort, and we want to see Hakota live the quality of life she deserves. She is loving, caring, very intelligent, and fiercely loyal. She just needs the right home where she can flourish.

Story
Meet Venus! Venus is a stunning 4-year-old Neapolitan Mastiff who turns heads with her soulful eyes and 94 pounds of pure presence. This gentle giant has a heart as big as her paws and is sure to steal yours if given the chance. Venus is currently in a board and train program to help build her confidence and work through some of her quirks—like getting a little overwhelmed with too much petting and relying on her stubborn streak to get her way. She’s learning that life is a lot better when she trusts her humans and lets them lead. Venus is looking for a home with an experienced owner who understands the needs of large, guardian-type breeds. She will thrive best as the only pet in a calm, adult-only household. We are prepared to support her new family with continued training if needed—her success is our priority. Our goal is to place her in a loving home straight from training so she doesn’t have to return to the shelter. If you’re ready to give a second chance to a truly special girl, Venus is waiting to meet you.

Story
*Cue dramatic music, like something out of a classic film noir.* ¡Ah, sí! I am Mack, a 4-year-old mastiff mix with a heart of gold and a growl that sounds like it could charm the world. When I bark, I roll my R’s so beautifully, it’s almost like I’m singing in Spanish. You might think I’m calling out to you in a language of love—and you wouldn’t be wrong. My voice is deep, rich, and full of passion. Every growl, every bark... it’s my way of saying: “I am here, and I will always be here for you, mi amigo.” I’m a big boy—strong, confident, and with a presence that commands respect. But beneath this magnificent exterior is a heart that beats only for loyalty, affection, and devotion. I’m the kind of dog who will be by your side through thick and thin, whether we're out on a walk, enjoying a quiet evening together, or—oh yes—getting a well-deserved belly rub. When I look at you with my soulful eyes, you’ll know that I’m not just looking for a friend. No, I’m looking for a partner. Someone to share life’s greatest moments with... someone to laugh with, to protect, and to love unconditionally. My bark may sound fierce, but my love is soft, gentle, and filled with warmth. So, are you ready for a lifetime of devotion, adventure, and passionate Rrrrrrrolls of love? If you want a companion who will stand by your side like a true hero, then I am the one for you. Vamonos, my friend. The adventure of a lifetime awaits us. *Fade out to a romantic sunset, Mack trotting proudly beside you, tail wagging in rhythm with the music.*

Story
We take the dogs that are adopted down...so if a dog is on the website they are available. Obedience training and fully fenced in yard is required for all our pups.   Completion certificate for training needs to be emailed once complete.  When applying pictures/videos of your fully enclosed yard is needed. Please only send inquiries to the email in this bio all others will not be answered. Please read the bio before sending questions - we answer all we know about the dog here. If the question is not answered in the bio please send emails to   info@HeidisLegacyDogRescue.com   Meet Axel: Your New Best Friend in Waiting!   Axel is the perfect blend of playful and sweet, ready to fill your home with joy. This handsome boy loves running around the yard, showing off his tug-of-war skills, and chasing after balls. But when the fun winds down, he’s all about belly rubs and soaking up affection—he’s a true cuddle connoisseur.    Axel is fantastic with kids and gets along wonderfully with female dogs. However, he’s not a fan of male dogs and would be best in a home where he can be the solo dog or with female dog friends.  As for cats?  We’re not sure yet, but his calm and intuitive nature tells us he could settle in with the right environment.   Axel is a smart and polite boy who will let you know when he’s uncomfortable in the most gentle way. He’s not a barker or a troublemaker—he’s just the kind of dog who knows how to communicate his feelings with respect.    Sadly, Axel has spent far too long in boarding, waiting patiently for someone to see how special he is. He’s been overlooked time and time again, but his heart remains full of hope. He’s ready to trade in his kennel for a cozy couch, a yard to play in, and a family to call his own.   Not ready to adopt? Axel would love to join a foster family where he can shine outside of boarding. Fostering gives him a chance to experience the love and stability he’s been longing for.    If you’re ready to give Axel the chance he deserves, don’t wait. Whether you’re looking to foster or adopt, this sweet, affectionate boy is ready to be your loyal companion!    DM us today to meet Axel!   Axel's adoption fee is $400 - obedience training after adoption and fully enclosed fenced in yard are required To apply to foster or adopt please fill out application at www.heidislegacydogrescue.com/apply-to-foster-or-adopt Thank you for completing the application.
