Weighing in at 79 pounds of pure enthusiasm, Top Hat has a personality as big as he is. He’s a playful puppy at heart, with zoomies, bouncy hops, and a goofy, happy attitude that will keep you smiling. Top Hat loves attention and affection, offering gentle paws and sits in exchange for treats. He’s quick to learn and very responsive to positive reinforcement—plus, he has a soft mouth when taking treats and a knack for earning rewards when training polite behaviors like 'four on floor' and leash manners. He loves to be near his human, circling around for pets and leaning into you for those sweet moments of connection. Top Hat’s ideal home would be with someone who’s patient and can provide him with guidance and structure. He’s high-energy, loves to play, and would thrive in an active home with people who enjoy teaching and engaging with a smart, eager-to-please companion. While he’s still working on his dog-to-dog greetings and can get a bit overexcited, Top Hat could do well in a home with a well-matched dog, or could be your solo canine friend if that’s what works best for your lifestyle. Bella is a 5YO Mastiff Mix. She is a big girl, but incredibly gentle with people and kids. She is always excited and eager to give you a kiss, a paw, or a hug! She sometimes doesn't realize how big she is though, so you'll need to be mindful that if you're not expecting Bella's love, she might sweep you off your feet! Bella is housebroken and typically stays in one room when left alone at home. When not out on a walk, Bella will spend her day sleeping next to you. She does love to fetch ball though, play tug of war, or chew on a good toy. Oh and don't forget belly rubs and but scratches. She goes crazy for those! Bella has unfortunately grown out of liking other dogs. She's never hurt another, but when walking Bella, it's best to cross the street if another dog is near. Treats are also a great distraction! The best fit for Bella would be a home with older kids, and an owner who has time to give her long walks.

Roman is a big old baby who needs all the love, scratches and play time that you can give him! Roman loves to run and do zoomies all over the yard but does need to be supervised as he does still have puppy behavior and does destroy things. His favorite games are fetch, tug of war and keep away. Once he has burned off his high puppy energy, Roman is happy to lay down on the couch for a nice nap. Roman was initially in doggy playgroups at the shelter, but given the traumatic experience will need slow introductions to new dogs to be successful. Roman is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for complimentary private and/or group training to help ensure a successful adoption. Bongo is a 6 year-old Bullmastiff-dominant mix with a gentle, sweet character and a lot of love to give. We agreed to foster him for just one month last October, but the original owner has abandoned the agreement and we are unable to keep him ourselves. A heartbreaking position for us and Bongo to be in! He is a larger dog, very medium-to-lower energy but really enjoys long walks, going to the dog park to play catch, and chewing on his favorite parmesan dog bone. He likes to be close to his person and is a very loyal companion. He does not have any issues with excessive barking, but can suffer from separation anxiety if left alone for long periods of time. Bongo does well with other dogs, LOVES people, but cats and children make him very nervous so it's best he is either part of a family with older kids or just adults. In our time with him, he's never had behavioral or destructive issues in our home (or any history thereof.) He is a wonderful dog deserving of a forever home.
