Story
Let us introduce you to Lila, formerly Blue from Stanislaus Animal Services. Now she’s living her best life as a resident gentle giant and professional couch potato. This sweet girl is equal parts lover, snuggler, and breeze-catching car ride enthusiast. If you’ve got a couch and a car with windows that roll down halfway… congratulations, you already have two of Lila’s favorite things in life. 🚗💨 With new people, Lila is a polite little introvert. She might play it cool at first, but before long she’ll wander over for the classic “hello, may I sniff your hand and accept a gentle pat?” greeting once you pass her vibe check. She’s still very much a baby in a big dog body, so she’s learning things like crate training and impulse control. Lila truly wants to be good — sometimes her baby brain just gets a little louder than her manners. If she disagrees with being crated you might hear a dramatic protest that could easily earn her an Oscar nomination. Consistency and structure are helping her improve every day. This girl is smart and eager to learn. She’s been doing great with the cats in her foster home (who are basically dog-savvy professionals at this point). If one sprints, her “must chase fast thing” instinct may kick in, but a quick correction brings her right back to reality. Because of this, any home with small animals should plan for slow and thoughtful introductions. Lila is a mastiff mix, which means she’s a big girl with an even bigger heart who will thrive with a confident human to guide her. She can be a little unsure of herself at times, but with leadership and reassurance she settles in beautifully. 📍 Fostered in San Jose, CA

Story
Meet Birdie! This Cane Corso puppy has the sweetest puppy eyes and the biggest heart. Birdie came to us at just 4 months old, under-socialized and reactive with both people and dogs after experiencing a difficult start to life something no puppy should have to go through. Since being in her foster home, Birdie has begun to blossom into the fun, wiggly puppy she was always meant to be. With structure, patience, and guidance, she’s learning that the world doesn’t have to be scary. She’s getting lots of experience with appropriate play with other dogs and is working hard on her manners with both humans and pups. Birdie is a very smart girl who already knows her basic commands and loves training sessions. She thrives when she has clear leadership and absolutely lights up when she’s praised for making good choices. While she’s still working through some reactivity and territorial tendencies, she continues to make great progress every day. She will do best with an experienced, committed adopter who understands guardian breeds and is excited about continuing her training and helping her grow into the incredible dog she’s meant to be. :sparkles: A few bonuses about Birdie: • Fully potty trained • Sleeps through the night like a champ • Loves to learn and work with her person • Full of drive, personality, and love Birdie is going to make an amazing companion for the right home one that’s ready for a little challenge, a lot of adventure, and a lifetime of loyalty! If you think you might be the one to guide Birdie through the rest of her journey, we’d love to hear from you, please fill out our application to meet her! https://www.cabullyrescue.org/apply-here Currently fostered in Salt Lake City, Utah by our amazing friends at Soulmate Rescue!

Story
Meet our sweet boy Apollo 🐾 Apollo just turned 2 years old on January 5, 2026. He is a loving, affectionate pup who adores belly rubs and enjoys spending time with his people. Apollo is well-mannered and knows basic commands such as sit, stay, lay down, and shake paws. We are heartbroken to say that we are looking for a new family for Apollo due to circumstances beyond our control—our landlord has required that we rehome him. This decision has not been easy, and our only wish is to find a home that will love and care for him just as much as we do. If you are willing to give Apollo a chance and provide him with a safe, loving forever home, please reach out. He truly deserves a family who will cherish him.

Story
Nova is a cuddle bug who lives for her favorite person. She’s housetrained, walks great on leash, and is friendly with other dogs. Treats and squeaky toys are the way to her heart, and once she trusts you, she’ll want to be by your side constantly. Nova can get anxious when left alone at first, but she’s shown she can settle down and handle it once she adjusts. She knows “sit” and is still warming up to strangers, so a little patience goes a long way with her. Nova’s ideal home: A backyard, daily walks, and people who want a loyal companion by their side. She does fine as an only dog or with other dogs. Because she jumps when excited, she’s better suited for a home without young kids who could easily be knocked over.   ##2665648##
