Ginny is dog friendly and has a soft temperament. She is a smaller gal she would do well in an apt for sure. Ginny can go to a home with another dog or be an only dog. She rides well in a car and just would like nothing more than a couch to sleep on while her people are at work. She isn’t a super active dog so walks are great she doesn’t need lots of exercise. At just 15 months old, her previous owner found her on Craigslist, and Princess hoped that this would be the start of her happily ever after. Sadly, that wasn’t the case. She spent over 10 hours a day in a space that was far too small, leading to muscle atrophy and heartbreak. The owner was planning to euthanize her. However, her story took a turn for the better when AZ Mastiff Rescue stepped in to offer her the love and care she so desperately deserves. Princess is truly embracing her newfound freedom, and it’s heartwarming to see her so happy. She now has the ability to take bathroom breaks on her own terms, stretch out with her beloved ball, and follow her humans around instead of being left behind in a crate. Unfortunately, this stop in her journey is only temporary and we are searching for her Happy Ending Family. She is up to date on her vaccinations, spayed, and her ears and teeth are in great shape. While she does have a little tummy, we’re optimistic that with exercise, she’ll gain strength and achieve a sleek figure in no time. It’s exciting to think about her journey ahead! I'm a strong and active boy who thinks I'm a lap dog. I get excited when it's time to go on walks, but then once we're walking, I'm calm. I do get excited when I meet kids, but after I will calm down and I leave them alone, unless they keep playing with me. Little kids might be afraid of me because of my size and run away from me and I think that they want to play, so just watch them. I would do best in a home with older children. My best day would be to: Going for a car ride to a park to go for a walk and then come home and nap. Other tidbits about me: I do fine being left out to roam the house when no one is home, because all I do is lay on the couch. I like being introduced to other dogs slowly and properly, otherwise I get over-excited. If, when I first meet new people and they have sunglasses on, I can get scared. As I am a pretty big boy, I can be strong when I get excited, so you need to be ready if you have the leash. I am not really interested in toys, but there are times when I do get the urge. I do slobber, so make sure to keep towels around.

Duke is an amazing, lovable, giant of a dog. He is a large breed, possibly a Mastiff, and is estimated to be about 3 years old. Duke’s foster mom loving calls him booger, but he actually doesn’t drool much ! He knows basic obedience and continues to learn new commands in his foster home. Duke walks extremely well on a leash and has shown self-control in meeting other animals however, his exuberance and size can be intimidating for some. Duke loves people and small humans. In his foster home Duke lives with another large dog and 4 cats, and he would enjoy being adopted into a home with another dog friend. Duke is loveable, goofy, sweet and enjoys attention. He will lean into you for scratches and likes to sleep nearby for hours. He also really enjoys car rides with the windows open. Duke is such a kind, chill and lovable dog. Duke will need a home with a semi- experienced dog owner. He is a kind boy but can jump and gently mouth when excited. He has some separation anxiety and can be quite the escape artist, so he will need a 6-foot fenced yard when left alone outside or a secure crate for inside. He gets very excited at the chance to play with other dogs, and will occasionally need a sturdy leash handler. His adoption fee of $300 includes a microchip, vaccinations, and neuter surgery. Penny came to us from the euthanasia list at the county shelter. She weighed a severely overweight 110 lbs and suffered from chronic eye issues. She was going to be euthanized for her medical needs. She was a volunteer favorite at the shelter, and what was more than clear to all of us was that this precious girl had simply never been given the chance to live the life she deserved. Since coming into our care, Penny has lost over 45 lbs and is looking better than we could have ever imagined.
