Age: 2 yearsWeight: 57 kg / 125 lbsA bit about Mack:- older children okay (no small children)- no cats or small animals (history of prey drive)- select dogs okay pending successful introMack is a gentle giant with a heart as big as his massive frame. Despite his imposing size, he is the most loveable and affectionate dog you could ever meet. His sheer size often surprises people, but Mack doesn’t seem to realize just how large he is—he`ll happily attempt to curl up on your lap or snuggle up beside you, always eager for attention and love. Whether he’s wagging his tail or looking up at you with his soulful eyes, Mack is always happiest when he has a human to cuddle. Mack can sometimes get a little too excited to give and receive love; to help him practice calm behavior he`d appreciate a home that can offer lots of mental enrichment and games, along with daily walks! The biggest hearts truly come in the biggest packages - come meet Mack!!

Story
Age: 1 year oldWeight: 32.7kg / 72.1lbA little bit about Loki:- History of living with children. Potential for home with children. Jumpy/rough with smaller children. Likely to do better with older children who can read and respect canine body language. - Limited history with cats. All introductions should be done slowly over multiple sessions and carefully supervised. - Potential for home with select other dog pending successful D2DMeet Loki, a gorgeous Mastiff mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality waiting to shine! In her previous home, Loki was a playful, rambunctious companion who loved roughhousing and hanging out with her people. Unfortunately, the shelter has been a bit overwhelming for her, and she’s feeling shy and uncertain around new faces. With gentle encouragement, patience, and plenty of treats, Loki is starting to discover that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. She’s looking for a forever home where she can build her confidence and let her playful spirit thrive.Loki may do well with dog-savvy cats and might enjoy the company of another dog. While ahe’s lived with children before, her size and energy might be a bit much for smaller kiddos. If you’re ready to welcome this big, lovable goofball into your home, Loki will reward you with loyalty, love, and plenty of tail wags!

Story
ADOPT a great girl.Hello, my name is Gracie.I am a 2.5-year-old St Bernard mix. I am spayed and fully house trained. My foster mom says I am beautiful, gentle, loving, silly and sweet. I really like little kids, but sometimes they can be a bit loud, so my perfect home should have kids a bit older. I absolutely love playing with stuffed toys! I throw them in the air as high as I can and then pounce on them, followed by a quick zoomie. I love going to the park, but in the quieter hours as I am still a bit shy. I had a rough start to life so everything is new, and I can still be a bit timid, but getting braver every day. I would love a dog sibling (my foster brother and sister are my favourites). A large yard would be ideal for me to lounge in the sun and chase mice. If you are looking for a loyal and faithful friend, I would be a great choice, but you’ll have to be patient with me as I learn to overcome some of my fears in this new world. To apply for Gracie, click the link below to fill out an application or call 403-816-0759. https://calgaryanimalrescue.com/

Story
Hi! I’m Doug! I’m looking for the right home to adopt me! As you can see, I have the sweetest face, and most soulful eyes! I am a mellow guy, who likes likes to go on walks and outdoor adventures with my people, but I also like to hang out at home when my foster mom is working! I’m really good at entertaining myself! I also like to hang out with the cats! I am good with dogs, and would prefer a home with older kids, I’m not a huge fan of chaos! I’m fully potty trained as well as crate trained! I need someone who will be willing to put in a little extra work for training, and hopefully someone who has experience with dogs! Please, please, please pick me!!
