Location: Lexington, SC Name: Lottie Age: 1.5 - 2 years Breed: Maremma Sheepdog (Assumed) - 70 lbs M/F: F Spayed/Neutered/Shots: UTD on rabies & dhlpp; Spayed Good with dogs, cats, and/or kids: has ignored the cats and is fine with other dogs and children Aggression or medical issues?: was defending food at first from other dogs (minorly) but doesnt have any issues now; was heartworm + at intake but fast treatment has been completed (re-test in 6 months - fast treatment is 97% successful) Reason for rehoming?: owner surrender cause they didnt want to deal with anymore babies from her… House/crate trained?: never attempted crate training as she hasn't needed it; is house trained Additional info/story (personality): Was extremely shy at first but warmed up amazingly fast. Likes to follow me around and is learning how to dog more now. Last owner offered minimal food and solely had her around for animal protection so she is still learning how to be loved on. LOVES playing with the other dogs and is really good at reading their behaviors and acting accordingly with the new intakes. Likes to spend a lot of time outdoors & normally needs extra motivation to come inside. Message/comment if interested. Make sure if you message me to include the animal’s name since I have a lot of rescues I am trying to help rehome at the moment. Adoption application & contract required to ensure good home.

Story
Leo is 5 years old. He is a very sweet and happy dog; we just don't have the best environment and adequate time for him right now. He needs a bigger yard, or people who have the time to appropriately exercise him. He was attacked by another dog a couple of years ago, and has since been a bit aggressive towards unknown dogs. I would love for him to find a home with people who have the time available to let him live his best life. He's pretty excitable and loves to play and run around.
