Savvy is the kind of dog who greets you like you’ve been gone for years—even if it’s only been five minutes. She’s incredibly loving, loyal, and happiest when she’s right by her human’s side. Whether it’s cuddle time on the couch or heading out for a walk, Savvy is all in as long as she’s with you. She has a moderate-to-high energy level and would thrive in a home that can give her daily exercise and engagement. Walks, exploring a yard, and of course—snacks—are some of her favorite things. (Did we mention she’s highly food motivated? Training with treats will definitely win her over!) Savvy can be a bit protective of her person when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly once she realizes everything is okay. With other dogs, she’s a bit more particular—she’s interested in being friends, but prefers slow introductions and doesn’t appreciate dogs who come on too strong. Because of this, she would do best as the only dog in the home where she can relax and not feel on guard. Savvy’s ideal home is one where she can soak up all the love and attention as your one-and-only. Sassy is just as lovely on the inside as she is on the outside. In only a couple of days in her foster home, she’s already made incredible progress coming out of her shell and showing her sweet, affectionate personality. Sassy is nearly fully potty trained and settles in nicely in her crate at night. While she was a little unsure about other dogs at first, a few pack walks worked their magic, and now she happily runs around and enjoys their company. She hasn’t quite discovered toys yet, but honestly—she’d much rather be with her people. Snuggling, gently rubbing her face against yours, and soaking up affection are her specialties. And if you “corn cob” her neck, get ready…she’ll return the favor with a shower of kisses!  She loves going for walks and keeps a sharp eye out for squirrels and rabbits—nothing gets past this girl! And when it comes to food? It’s her absolute favorite thing. Sassy is highly treat-motivated, which makes her a great candidate for continued training and bonding. 📣 IS IT MY TURN YET ? 📣 Seriously, all I want for Mother’s Day is to be able to ditch my needy kids and have someone devote all their attention to me! My name is Xena and I’m a 16 pound, 2ish year old MinPin mix. I was abandoned on a deserted property with animal skeletons littered everywhere. I was rescued and sent up north but then my uncooperative children refused to make a proper entrance so I needed a c-section. There were only 2 of them so they ate so much they developed Swimmer Syndrome and I thought I’d be stuck with them forever. Thanks to physical therapy they have finally caught up developmentally and are running and jumping like normal puppies. They also chase me everywhere trying to get a free drink at the milk bar. They are almost teenagers, for Pete’s sake. Someone help me .. don’t make me spend Mother Day with these little ingrates! I get along with other dogs but I think I would prefer to be an only princess. I would be happy to spend the rest of my life following you everywhere and napping next to you on the couch. I promise to be your loyal companion for the rest of my days. I have not been leash trained yet so a fenced year is preferable even tho I’m not a runner. I’m working on housebreaking and pretty much get it, just need a little consistency .. I truly aim to please my people. I’m being fostered in Richfield , Wi and my adoption donation is $375. I am already spayed , UTD on vaccinations and micro-chipped so I’m all ready to go.
