Story
Teddy is a three year old Maltipoo and is a good boy that loves to snuggle and play. He does suffer from anxiety and will require some extra attention to help combat it. He gets along with other dogs but needs an adjustment period. He is not great with small children that think he is a toy, but would love older children that like to play and snuggle. He is crate trained and prefers his crate at night to being left out to roam, it’s his safe space. He is up to date on all his shots and records are available. All his care items will be included with the adoption fee of $0. We just want to find him a good match.

For inquiries email ashley@compactcanierescue.org Fee: $600 Location: Montpelier, VA Things to consider when applying to adopt Jewel: shy but warms up Maltese coats need grooming every 4-6 weeks needs a patient adopter and quiet home fenced yard a plus but not a requirement potty manners in progress breeder/puppy mill dog experience a plus Jewel is new in rescue. She arrived on December 19th. She weighs 9 pounds and is 6 years old. She is a retired breeding female. She is shy but adjusting well to her new retired life. She will need a dental and spay in the new year. Once she is healed she will be ready for adoption. Jewel was seen by the vet and is awaiting her dental on January 14th. She will be spayed on February 10th then be ready for adoption. Jewel is a sweet little girl. She remains skittish (typical for a retired breeder pup) but is warming up and learning to be a pet. She will thrive in a quiet, adult/older child home with patient owners who will allow her time to acclimate, learn to potty outside and just be a pet. She has spent her entire life making puppies! It's time for her to be pampered. She is learning to walk on a leash and enjoys sniffing in the yard. A fenced yard will be a plus to allow her time to explore. Story
Meet Milo!!!  This special boy is a 4 1/2 year old, 11 lbs maltipoo.  He is the complete package.  This sweet boy is good with other dogs both big and small.  He is also good with cats.  Milo is an active little guy that has the best time running and playing with his foster brothers and sisters.  They all have the best time in their fenced in yard.  Milo really enjoys playing but he is also all about the most important thing--YOU!  Milo loves his foster mom.  If she sits down he is right there.  If she goes to the kitchen Milo is right behind her to see if he can help.  At bed time, you got it, trotting down the hall with you.  This great guy would be an excellent companion for a young single person or a great addition to a family with children 6 and older.  (to our knowledge he has not been around toddlers and we don't want to set him up for failure.)  Milo is so small that he could go everywhere with you that doggies are allowed even in the airplane on vacation!  This boy does not want to be left behind.  Milo is ready for a late new year celebration when he meets his forever family.  Hopefully that will be with you.  To be considered for Milo's frever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcaast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Milo is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)January 6, 2025, 2:04 pm
