Story
Noodles is a 1-year-old, 14-pound Maltipoo (Maltese Poodle) pup who is equally split between loving to cuddle, play and eat. As a 1-year-old, Noodles has all the puppy playfulness, but also has some of his manners down. Most importantly, he is non-destructive. You can leave him alone in the house and come back, and nothing will be chewed up or destroyed—unless you were foolish enough to leave Kleenex or paper plates on the floor. Then all deals are off.
He almost never barks. He does well during car rides. He gets along well with all other dogs. If you work from home, he will sit quietly in the same room and amuse himself—well, most of the time. Once or twice during the day, you’ll need to pick him up and tell him what a handsome boy he is; then he’ll go off on his merry way. Because he was living as a street dog in the Rio Grande valley, he is not yet housetrained, though he has the rudiments of it down. The last photo shows what he looked like when we pick him up.
Noodles is very affectionate. He’s an excellent lap dog or sit-beside-me-on-the-couch dog. He likes to have his head scratched, his butt scritched, and his tummy rubbed. He’s a stuck-like-glue dog. Wherever you go, there he’ll be. He sleeps in the bed near foster dogmom’s feet and generally doesn’t move once he lays down.
Noodles loves to play and would do best in a house with another dog of similar size and a playing age. His particular mode of play is wrestling; he loves to wrestle with other dogs to see who can get on top. He will occasionally enjoy a squeaky toy, but his favorite toys are Bene Bones. He can chew for an hour on one of these and self-amuse.
Noodles would do best in a house with another dog and a family, but no children under the age of 10 because he’s still a little mouthy.
Noodles has had his shots. He is neutered, microchipped and heartworm-negative. His adoption fee is $275.
