Meet Bella – A Special Little Lady Looking for Her Forever Home! Bella is settling into her foster home. At six years old and just under 10 lbs, this Maltese/Poodle mix is a pint-sized sweetheart with minimal shedding. Though she’s still a bit nervous and protective of her foster mom, she’s making progress every day. We think Bella has had a rough start in her early life. She was rescued from a home where she wasn’t getting the care she needed, then later surrendered by a busy family to Just Paws who realized she needed more attention than they could provide. Because of her past, Bella can be fearful and reactive if approached too quickly or from behind. She did well at the vet and groomer but was sensitive to handling on her rear end, so patience and understanding will be key to helping her feel safe. The foster is working with a trainer to help with Bella’s sudden reactivity causing her to growl and sometimes lung/attempt to bite. Bella’s Personality & Needs: 🐾 Sweet and Cuddly: Loves snuggling up beside her foster mom for pets 🐾 Cautious but Friendly: Eventually warms up to new people but needs time to accept them on her terms. 🐾 House Trained: Lets you know when she needs to go out. 🐾 Loves Walks: Does great on a leash and enjoys being outdoors (but isn’t a fan of coats or boots!). 🐾 Good in Her Crate: Sleeps well through the night. 🐾 Toy Lover: Has two favorite toys she carries everywhere. She can be protection of them as she likes to have them near for security. 🐾 Picky Eater: Enjoys the odd treat plus can be selective with meals. Bella’s Ideal Home: 🏡 A quiet home with one or two adults — no kids due to her nervousness and potential for reactivity. 👩‍🦰 Would thrive with a single lady looking for a loving companion and walking buddy. 🚫 No condos—Bella would love a house with a yard (a fenced yard would be a bonus!) Bella is looking for someone who will be patient and give her the time and space she needs to continue to build trust, plus continue her training and socialization. Currently in a Toronto foster home Isak is an 8-month-old female Maltipoo who was once used as a grooming practice dog and later abandoned. Thankfully, she was rescued by Dream Tails Rescue and is now looking for a loving forever home. She weighs just 3.5kg and has a unique mix of Maltese and Poodle, giving her an adorable and charming appearance. Isak is incredibly affectionate, loves people, and enjoys playing with other dogs. She has a friendly and loving personality, making her a wonderful companion. However, since she previously lived in a wire-bottom cage, she has not yet been fully potty trained. Her adopter will need to patiently guide her in using pee pads, and due to her small size and young age, occasional accidents should be expected. She may also experience some separation anxiety when away from her human. As a playful puppy, Isak is full of energy and curiosity. She may get into mischief, but providing her with toys and engaging in playtime will help her release her energy in a positive way. While she requires a bit of extra care and guidance, her sweet and affectionate nature will help her adapt quickly. Story
Milo is a sweet, sensitive pup who thrives on routine and one-on-one attention. He adores long, sniff-filled walks, car rides with the wind in his face, and exploring pet-friendly stores. He needs a calm home with a fenced yard, no kids, and no other pets. Milo should never be left outside alone - he requires supervision at all times. He’s cautious on hardwood floors and prefers carpet or area rugs. He does best with someone home most of the time (four hours alone is his max and that is rare). Playful and full of personality, Milo forms deep bonds, especially with men. He needs a patient, loving home with one or two adults who understand his quirks. While independent, he has his own special ways of showing love and loyalty. We will only place him in a home where he’ll be truly cherished. We’re happy to stay in touch and provide guidance.
