Story
Peyton weighs about 14 pounds. She has not been spayed. I will require spaying. Payton is a loving dog and likes to cuddle. She is an inside dog but I let her out several times per day. She is full of energy and active. I feed her PetFresh and/or human food at night and dry food during the day. Another dog in the household would be a plus, although (as with most dogs) she may take a while to acclimate. She is not so good with teenage boys because one scared her.

Story
I tried unsuccessfully to get Peyton's profile accessible to me so that I could see the people who were interested in her but I could not pull up except in one instance, which was lost. So, I am trying again. I require a rehome fee of $150 up front which I will refund to the person who adopts upon proof from a vet in writing that she has been sprayed. I require spaying within a month. Peyton is 5 yrs. old & weighs about 14 lbs. She may be okay with children I do not know as there are no children in my family. She does not like a teenage autistic boy in my family who chased her once, so I'm not sure about teens. I prefer an older couple/person with another dog. She barks at strangers & has a "litter mate" that may be adopted--female. She is fed Freshpet at p.m./dry food in am. Loves table food. I can furnish name of a low-cost vet.

These pups are in Atlanta, Georgia too!

Story
Are you looking for a constant companion, little furry BFF type of dog? Then Nibbles might be your gal! Here’s the deal though – this poor, tiny (9 pound) girl was surrendered to the shelter at 10 years of age and it was immediately clear she was not always treated kindly. She came to us in pain from a dental issue but that has been fully treated and it was such a joy to see her realize she was going to be safe and cared for! Although she has become absolutely devoted to and loving towards her foster mom, she remains very scared of being picked up. She will happily follow you around the house and yard, solicit petting, belly rubs, and ear scratches, and hop into your lap whenever invited - but she does not wish to be toted under your arm; that is simply not a place where she feels safe. She is non-reactive (and quite frankly apathetic) towards adult dogs and is likely to feel the same way about cats. She is fine with kids who have the maturity and impulse control to respect her boundaries. She came to us pee pad trained (and will consistently use them) and her foster mom is looking for someone who is comfortable with that, as she’s a bit of a princess when it comes to damp grass or less than ideal temperatures. We are looking for a household where she can know nothing but love, kindness and compassion during her golden years; she would like a fenced yard or an adopter who is willing to very patiently continue working through her fear of being harnessed. Story
Hi there, I’m Barkley, but you can call me “Stash” – yeah, you see that glorious mustache? I mean, I’ve got the facial hair of a gentleman, but don’t be fooled – I’m all about fun! They call me “Stash Barkley” around here because I rock this ‘stache like a legend. I’m a poodle mix (possibly with a little terrier in me), so I’ve got the charm and smarts, but just a heads-up – I can’t promise I’m completely shed-free. I’m four years old and have the energy of a puppy, which means I’m always up for playtime! Just this week, I learned this super cool game called fetch. (Why didn’t anyone tell me about this sooner?) You throw the toy, I bring it back, and we both get a good laugh – it’s the best! Toys? Obsessed. Chewies? Can’t get enough. Belly rubs? Just say when. I also love to wrestle and hang out with my foster brother and sister – they’re a pretty fun crowd, and I fit right in. I get along great with other dogs and people too, because I’m just the happiest little guy around! I’m still learning the whole potty-training thing. But now that I’m “fixed” (don’t ask – it was a bit of a surprise to me too), things should get easier. I’d do best with someone who’s home often or works from home regularly, especially while I’m getting the hang of potty training. And having a doggie friend and a yard for quick bathroom breaks would make things even better! Oh, and bedtime? I’m a pro. I sleep right through the night, snuggled up in bed with my foster parents – it’s cozy and perfect, just the way I like it. I came from a busy shelter after my previous family fell on hard times. But I’m not letting that bring me down – I’ve settled right into this new life and am ready to bring my mustache, my playfulness, and my love of life to a new forever family. So, whaddya say? Don’t you want this ‘Stash in your life? Thank you for your interest in one of our furry kids! Story
Marco is the cutest, sweetest 15-year-old dog I have ever known. I adopted him from the Humane Society. Initially very timid, he has gradually come out of his shell. Marco mainly sleeps but will walk around when he's hungry, needs to go outside, or just wants to stretch his legs. He loves being outside and lying in the grass. Remarkably, he does not lick or bark—I've only heard him bark four times in the three years I've had him, the last time being two years ago. Marco has cataracts but manages to get around on his own, although he doesn't navigate stairs by himself. He is very friendly to other dogs and people. Due to his vision, it's best to let him smell your hand first before petting him, as he can get startled if approached too quickly. He is afraid of thunder, so expect him to seek snuggles during storms. Marco is an easy-going dog. If you want to sleep in, he'll sleep in too. I want Marco to have a home where he is attentively cared for, safe, and lo
