Story
Gizmo is a 12 yr old maltipoo. He has lived with both of my children and they are no longer able to care for him so I'm taking care of him till we find a good home. He has a bit of arthritis and enjoys the company of females. He can have potty accidents if left home alone unsupervised. He does great in a crate and is sweet. He does bark and can be aggressive toward other dogs.

Story
This is Bette. She is 9-10 years old. She was previously my grandparents dog. When they passed, we took her home. Our house is a busy one with kids running around. She prefers a quiet, sedate home where she can sit on someone’s lap all day and chill. The exuberance of my sons stresses her out. She’d be the perfect companion for an older person who could shower her with love and affection! She chases her tail when she is excited, loves being dressed up and pampered. She gets anxious when left alone. She ignores the cat, prefers focus on the humans, but will run around the yard with our cavie. She loves people and would be happy as an only dog. Crate and house trained. My grandparents had a doggie door that she loved. She will not bark to go outside. She will walk to the door to indicate wants out. She will bark to come back in. She is trained to our invisible fence and does not wander or dig.

Story
Hi, I'm Bugaloo. More information coming soon!   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $600. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here. Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls.PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
