Story

Cotton is a super sweet puppy that was kept in a home with other dogs that were part of her "family". No one was sterilized, so the puppies just kept on coming. The owner, who took relatively good care of them, is now overwhelmed. We agreed to take them on and take care of their medical needs. Cotton is a very nice dog. Medium energy. She could use a little help on the leash since we are confident they were never taken on walks. They are all indoor dogs. Cotton is 6 months old and weighs 12 pounds. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Olivia is a very sweet 3-year-old girl. We have had her since she was 2.5 month old. When we have little children at home, she behaves well around them. She is a good apartment pet because she is very quiet. Olivia doesn't have any bad behaviors at home and is fully potty trained. She is friendly when she is outside and has good interaction with dogs or people.

LILLY NEEDS A FUR-EVER HOME. Please read Lilly’s description and you can inquire at: smashfacerescue911@yahoo.com and I will forward to her foster & rescue group. Lilly is a stunner!! Non-shedding, hypoallergenic, tri-color little sweetie. She is so soft. She weighs in at about 16 lbs. looks like a little Portuguese water dog, but she’s most likely a Maltipoo or Schnoodle. Lilly was born with a congenital heart defect called Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) you can Google that but she is unaffected by it. Lilly plays, runs (see attached video) jumps, sleeps and eats. The corrective surgery for PDA is $10,000 to $12,000. It is risky and there are no guarantees. This girl is happy and active and the rescue doesn’t not want to risk her. Lilly survived her spay, is up to date on all vaccines including rabies and is microchipped. She would do well in a multiple people household with or without kids. Maybe a bit older as she can be shy. Lilli is great with dogs she knows and loves to play. Her size or bigger is preferred because she likes to beat up on little dogs. As an only dog where she can be spoiled is ideal as well but she loves to play chase with other dogs. Lilly is beautiful in a crate. Housebroken and perfect on a leash. Does not pull. She’s also a cuddle bug once she gets to know you. We do not know Lilly’s past. But she’s never been hit or abused. She escaped from wherever and was found running after July 4th. She was never claimed at the shelter, was pulled by some amazing people and awaits her forever home. Lilly is not good in large yards. She can act feral. She is best on leashed walks. Leashed yard walks or a small yard. I went and worked with her and leashed her in the yard to do her business and then she can have free rein of the house. I’ve met her no less than 10 times and she’s a perfect angel that needs someone or a couple to bring her out of her shell. I brought her here and she goes nuts with my Corsos and Frenchies. Cutie is certainly the little engine that could! Cutie is paralyzed in her lower half, but that doesn't stop her from getting to where she wants to go or stop her from playing - you should see her on her wheels! Cutie is a happy and excited dog who loves playing with other dogs and being with her person. She can scoot around quickly to get where she wants to go, and is an expert on her wheels. She is currently in physical therapy, and hopefully this can help her move around even better. Cutie is incontinent, so she can't control her bowl movements and wears diapers. She also needs her bladder expressed 3-4x a day, but this is very easy to do. Cutie prefers someone who is home, as she has separation anxiety when left alone or when she can see you but can't get to you. Shes a very loving, cuddly, and sweet girl, who needs someone who understands her special needs.

Thirteen-year-old Buster is a very energetic dog for his age. This 10-pound poodle loves walks and enjoys attention but at the same time likes to have his space. Buster is playful and does well with other dogs, but he doesn't like other dogs to play rough with him. Buster prefers being inside the house with his family; he goes outside to go on walks or to do his business in the yard. Buster doesn't really bark much unless he is startled or if other dogs are rough playing with him, but he also occasionally barks when he is being playful himself. Buster sleeps quietly through the night inside a crate. Buster has mature cataracts, so his vision is significantly impaired. He sees shadows during the day and can maneuver throughout his foster home without bumping into anything, but at night, he does bump into things. Because of his disability, Buster will require patience while he adjusts to a new home and learns to trust his new person.
