HIGHLIGHT: ** Requires a secure yard & another confident dog already established in the home. ** Meet Belinda - quiet, observant & learning to trust. Belinda is a 15-pound, 4-year-old Maltipoo mix who is still very early in her journey towards feeling safe in a human world. She absolutely ADORES other friendly dogs. She's very easy: she just wants to quietly observe everything from her safe space (the couch or her playpen area). She is so sweet and unassuming. To help her continue to thrive, Belinda's new home MUST have at least one established dog that she can trust and take cues from. Let’s be honest, she wouldn’t mind a house with more dogs than humans! Belinda will do best in a calm, experienced household where she can take her time and be allowed to observe first, and settle in at her own pace. Though she's not ready to consistently approach people just yet, she watches closely - and those watchful eyes are full of curiosity. She trusts other resident dogs and deep down you can tell she wants to join in on the fun with the family. Once she overcomes her shyness you will start to see little bits of her silly personality. She is very soft and does not shed. At this stage, Belinda is learning that people bring good things, like cuddly spaces, boiled chicken treats and predictable routines. She's also been making progress with house training and gentle handling. Although she remains very cautious, there's incredible potential for continued progress in the right environment. While she's not ready for a lot of physical affection yet, she is ready for a family that understands trust takes time and will be there patiently cheering her on with every small step forward. Story
Thelma is about 8 or 9 years old. We found here and another dog we named Louise running lose and adopted them right away. Thelma just needs a person to stay home and let her sit by your side. Thelma and Louise were found running together and over the last several years have been side by side. They may be better together then apart. The need to rehome this two is for their safety. We have an older dog that just recently has started to attack them. Not sure way. Thelma and Louise are best buddies.
