Story
This is Wo'i (pronounced like "Roy" but with a "W"). It's a Native word.  Wo'i is a 1-2 yr old male Maltese.  He is very skittish around people but gets along good with dogs and cats. He will do best if no young children as he scares easily. He is a flight risk so a fenced back yard is necessary. His new mom/dad will have to have experience with puppy mill dogs.  He's not yet housetrained. He doesn't mind a crate and sometimes prefers one. Wo'i is not a barker. He's very quiet. He immensely enjoys being outside.  He will find doggy perfume to roll in, explore the yard, and sometimes he just sits and looks off into the distance. He is about 10lbs. Not aggressive. Will be UTD on vaccines, neutered, chipped, and have certificate of health. Wo'i is not ready for adoption now, but will be ready soon. He's a looker! Currently fostered in Rockford, IL. If you’re interested in adopting go to tinypawssmalldogrescue.org and fill out an application for Wo'i.  Adoption fee of $450 is required.

Story
This is Trinket, a very sweet and curious 7 year old Maltese. Trinket is getting used to life outside of bars, as she is a breeder release. She is still a little skittish because everything around her is new, but each day she is getting more comfortable. She tolerates dogs and cats well, children unknown… but I imagine she will be fine the more time passes. Adoption includes spay and microchip. Trinket is very close to her foster buddy, Mia, a 2 year old Maltese. If adopted together a discount will be applied from Tiny Paws Small Dog Rescue. Fostered in Downers Grove Illinois currently with Sara My email is contactsaraf@gmail.com or text 630-470-2738. An adoption fee of $500 is required. If interested in adopting Trinket, please fill out an adoption application at this link: https://www.cognitoforms.com/TinyPawsSmallDogRescue1/AdoptionApplication

About Me: Names:  Gail Kim, Nitro Girl, Lady Blossom, Starla Saxton (and more) Breed (or best guess): Maltese, Poodle, Shih Tzu type mixes Approximate Age: 3-6 yrs Gender: F Approximate Weight: around 10 lb Adoption Fee: $495 for 1 or adopt a pair for $850 Requirements: patience to train for leash walking, another dog is helpful Why In Rescue: Owner passed away Profile:  The Wrestler Pack is a group of young dogs from 3-6 whose owner passed away.  They were left in poor grooming condition and had fleas.  They have now been clipped, bathed, treated for fleas, and updated their vet care.  They have been started on vaccines, deworming, flea/tick/heartworm preventative.  Prior to adoption they will be spayed/neutered, heartworm tested negative, rabies vaccinated, microchipped and passed a veterinary exam.  The have also received dentals if needed. They are all friendly dogs but seem to have never walked on a leash.  They may have spent much of their time outside, so we don't know about their housetraining.  They do want to be with other dogs and get along well with each other, so may have separation anxiety if there isn't another dog in the home.  (Don't have another dog, think about adopting two if you have the time, space, and finances.  There is a reduced adoption fee for adopting a pair.)  We don't know if they have been exposed to children or to cats.  The little ones who have gone into foster homes are doing very well! If interested in meeting/adopting one of these dogs, please fill out the pre-adoption application, and we will have you come in to meet the various dogs so you can find one (or two) that have the personality you are looking for.  We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $495 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $75 (up to $230 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $75 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS November 5, 2024, 8:05 pm

Story
Buster is the happiest little dog you will ever meet. It's hard to look at him and not smile. He came to us kind of scraggly but after a nice grooming, a dental and some TLC, he is feeling fine. Buster lost his loving home when his owner passed away. We are looking for the perfect home for him to live out his golden years. Buster has Cushing's Disease but is not needing treatment at this time. Cushing's disease (also known as Cushing’s syndrome) is a condition in which the adrenal glands overproduce certain hormones. Don't let this stop you from adopting this special senior. Did we mention he is great with other dogs?_________________________________________________________________________Adoption Donation for Buster is $ 300.00WANT TO MEET BusterThe first step would be for you to go to our website at www.aear.org and then to the “Adopting a Pet” page to read about our Adoption Process which will answer many of your questions and then to fill out an Adoption Application. Also, please visit our very active Facebook Page for updates on Buster and our other adoptable pets with AEAR - www.facebook.com/aear.orgAll our animals available for adoption are living in foster homes. Story
Hi! My name is Eli Mae, a poodle bichon mixMy foster mom is Linda Peterson Hyde. I am currently crashing at her house in Raymond until I can find my permanent Home. You can contact her for more information 262-909-7883. Enough about her, time to tell you about me. The vet assumes I am 3-5 years old and my teeth look great. Here are a few things I like: my greenie treats at night, the other big and small dogs in the house, a yard to play in, and slowly getting used to being touched and held. It does feel good once I trust you.( I was a puppy mill dog so people make me nervous). Things I’m a bit afraid of: loud noises, doorways, some people, and that horrible leash so a fenced in yard is a must. I am working really hard on the “potty” thing too. I usually just follow what the other dogs in the house do. I am told often l am the sweetest thing with such sad loving eyes. I will make a great companion, you just need to be patient with me. There is an adoption fee of $500 required, but I will be all up to date on shots and spayed too! You can find more info on Tiny Paws Small Dog Rescue site too. If interested in meeting me please contact my foster mom.

Story
Breed: Bichon/ShihTzu mix Gender: female 4 years old Weight: 17 lbs. Hi, my name is Pooch, and I want to be your new best friend! I was rescued from a puppy mill, where I spent my days locked in a cage. Even though my life was tough, I still have a big smile on my face, and my tail wags nonstop. At first, I was a little scared of people, but now I get excited whenever I see my foster mom. I follow her wherever she goes. I love it when she rubs my belly and tells me that I’m a sweet girl. Despite my age, I’m as playful and happy as a puppy. I get along with other dogs, but I’m fine with being the only dog in the house. Children are okay with me, as long as they are gentle and patient. The groomer said I did a great job and called me a very good girl. I'm potty trained and learned how to walk on a leash. I still have to learn how to go up and down stairs. I would love to meet you! Pooch is spayed, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and dewormed. She is a lovely girl that will make a great companion. Her adoption fee is $450. She is currently fostered in Chicago, Illinois. Her foster mom can be reached at bejolese@gmail.com. If you are looking for a new best friend, please complete an adoption application on the Tiny Paws website: https://www.cognitoforms.com/TinyPawsSmallDogRescue1/AdoptionApplication. Thank you.
