He is SO lovable and he is just wants to be with his people. He will be just a sweet little companion for anyone! He is great with everyone and has been around older kids. He just loves to cuddle and follow you around the house! He's being fostered in a home with cats currently and they don't bother him and he doesn't bother them at all!  We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. She was dog #12 taken out of a hoarder house in 2020. At that time, she was about 3 years old, and was living in a 800 sq. ft home with 40 other dogs. Ever since we have known her, she has been extremely timid and spooky easily, certainly due to the circumstances she lived in for her first 3 years of life. She would do best in a home with a confident dog who can help to bring her out of her shell. She was foster 'failed' and adopted by Tailwaggers' founder, Dawn Boeselager. Twelve learned her name while she was still a foster, and the name stuck after her adoption (especially since we linked it to Aaron Rodgers being the Packers QB at that time). Dawn passed on October 9th, so her beloved pup needs to find a new home. Over the years there she lived with dozens of other dogs of all sizes being fostered. She is timid with them at first, but will play and open up to them with time. Now she's about 8 years old, housebroken, kennel trained. She needs to be adopted by someone who understands the patience required to work with an insecure dog and who can build up her confidence! She loves to cuddle, sit on her chosen person's lap, and sleeping in a pile of pillows if she can find one. Squeaky toys and balls are some favorites. It will take her some time to warm up to new people, but certainly will with some patience! Kaiya, a 3yr old, 10lb Maltese mix, is ready to find her family! She is friendly, playful, curious and looking to experience some new adventures. Kaiya would be great in an active home with another dog. She came from the same home as Marty, who is also looking for a home, should you be interested in two dogs. They do wonderful together but can be adopted separately.

Meet Marty, a complete sweetheart who loves to warm laps and cuddle! Marty is a middle-aged Maltese mix, about 9 lbs. He enjoys spending time outside exploring and playing with both his toys and friend Kaiya, whom he came into rescue with from the same home. If looking for a second dog Kaiya is also available and they do wonderful together, although adopting together is not required. An ideal home would include another dog and a loving family looking for a dog to spoil.

They are all friendly dogs but seem to have never walked on a leash.  They may have spent much of their time outside, so we don't know about their housetraining.  They do want to be with other dogs and get along well with each other, so may have separation anxiety if there isn't another dog in the home.  (Don't have another dog, think about adopting two if you have the time, space, and finances.  There is a reduced adoption fee for adopting a pair.)  We don't know if they have been exposed to children or to cats.  The little ones who have gone into foster homes are doing very well!
