Story
Meet Anthony, an adorable 11lb, 1 year old boy who is ready to find his forever home! We think he is a maltese/poodle mix (he has long fur, we had to shave him) but we aren’t really sure, so we just call him our Texas special-the very best breed! Anthony is being fostered with 7 other small dogs, male and female and gets along great with them. He loves to play and run around. He still had a lot of puppy energy! He would love a home with a toy box full of toys. It is fun to watch him go pick out a toy and bring it to the couch to play with. You can put them up at night, but at the end of the next day there is a pile on the couch again! Anthony loves his humans and greets them enthusiastically when they come into the room. After he has gotten his zoomies out and is done playing with toys he will join them for a snuggle on the couch, but he is still a busy young boy! He does want to be in the room where he can keep an eye on you! Crate trained? Yes! Anthony sleeps in a crate quietly at night and is crated when his fosters go to work. You do still have to bribe him to get in the crate, but once in he is quiet. Potty trained? Sooo close! He is so excited to go outside sometimes he forgets to go- so he needs a little more work. Anthony is very food motivated making him a fast learner. His new family will have fun training him and teaching him cute dog tricks! Adventures? He is still learning to walk on leash but is also tiny enough he will fit in a cute dog purse or stroller. He is a little guy, so if you want a hiking buddy you will need to bring a backpack or some other way or him to hitch a ride! Cats? He met the resident rescue cat and he grew curious and opened up more time he spent with him. We believe he will be great with cats with slow and proper introductions. Kids? Absolutely! If Anthony sounds like he is the perfect addition to your family, apply here and his coordinator will reach out! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Autumn is the softest sweetest girl, with a rambunctious playstyle that will keep you laughing, and a love of toys that will melt your heart. Autumn is great with kids, and other dogs, and will surely make a wonderful family dog. Autumn is estimated to be around 2 years old, and we think they may be a Maltese Poodle mix! She is a rescue, so her exact age and breed are unknown to us and cannot be guaranteed. She weighs in at an itty bitty 10 pounds, and she’s all done growing! Watch Autumn here: https://youtu.be/xFMKpRIsG8U?si=Kt11fwDPcFBZAggc Autumn is currently fostered in a home with multiple other small dogs, and does well with them. She has a rambunctious play-style with her foster siblings, she’s generally the life of the doggy party at any given moment. Here at the rescue, we introduced Autumn to an eighty pound big pittie, and while she wasn’t too excited to play with him, she did appreciate his company. Autumn’s foster mom reports that Autumn “was immediately comfortable” with her grandchildren, aged 9 and 12 years old. She begs for their pets and attention each time she sees them. She’s an exceptionally loving dog that adores being the center of your attention. She loves being picked up, held and snuggled. Autumn absolutely loves toys too. She’s a heavy duty chewer, making up for her size with her strength. You can often find Autumn shredding sticks in the backyard with her teeth, or showing a Nylabone who’s boss. Autumn is an adorable itty bitty cutie pie, just waiting for her forever home. She’ll steal your heart the moment you meet her, with her soft coat and her big “pet me” eyes. Autumn would do best in a home with another moderately playful little dog to keep her company. She could thrive as a family dog, or soak up all of your affection as the baby of the house. We are willing to test Autumn with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. WHY this adoption fee?! Autumn came from a community where we do a lot of community support bringing free resources and services to help owned animals. Her adoption fee is going to help us assist at least 2 other animals with spay/neuter and vaccines. Our rescue does higher adoption fees for small, pure breeds like this every once in a while to help us continue our mission of helping thousands of other dogs. Thank you for supporting our mission with this adoption fee and with adopting Autumn! Please email jodi@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
Meet Ashley: The Cutest Little Cuddle Bug! If you’re looking for a playful companion with an endless supply of love, Ashley is your girl! We think this adorable 2-year-old is Maltese and Mini Poodle mix, but we aren’t really sure so we call her our Texas Special- the very best breed! She is 15 pounds of sweetness, and she’s ready to fill your life with joy. Home Behavior: Ashley is a playful little dynamo! She loves to jump around and shower everyone with puppy kisses, but she also enjoys long snuggles on your lap. With no sense of personal space, you’ll always have a fluffy friend by your side! Energy Level: Ashley has a high energy level, bursting with playfulness after her cozy naps. Social Skills: While she’s a little shy in new places, she opens up beautifully at home. She will need space and time to warm up to new people Other Dogs: Ashley is currently living with 4 other dogs; 2 males (15 and 8 lbs) and 2 females (5 and 8 lbs). She loves to play with other dogs. She has not experience with big dogs yet. Vocality: Ashley is quite vocal! She’ll bark at cars, people, and other animals outside, and she’s curious about everything. Inside, she might bark when someone comes in but quickly settles down for affection. Affectionate Nature: Ashley shows her love through joyful jumps, playful licks, and snuggles. She loves to be close, often climbing into your lap or getting right in your face! Cuddly or Independent? It’s a mix! Ashley enjoys cuddling but also likes to have her own space from time to time. Car Rides: She loads and unloads easily but does get car sick, so short trips are best for her. Leash Walking: Ashley can be a bit resistant at first but is smart and will quickly learn to walk well on a leash with some guidance. Training: Ashley is a quick learner and very food motivated, making her easy to train with treats. Ideal Home: Ashley would love a home with a yard where she can run and play. While she could do okay alone, she would be happiest with a furry playmate to keep her company. Adventure Buddy: She’s eager for adventures with friends but may be a bit timid in new environments. Family Friendly: Ashley is great with kids! She enjoys the attention of her human siblings, aged 9 and 12, and is currently living harmoniously with other small dogs. Potty Trained? Yes! Ashley is potty trained but may need a little extra encouragement during her first few weeks in a new home. Crate Trained? Yes! She’s crate trained, but she’ll appreciate a gentle nudge to go in. If you’re ready to welcome this sweet, playful pup into your heart and home, Ashley can’t wait to meet you! ❤️🐾 Watch Ashley here: https://youtu.be/Q5xAdI7oHuQ Please email jodi@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions.
