Meet Bender, the adorable 3-year-old Maltese Shih Tzu mix, tipping the scales at 20 pounds. Bender is a shy guy around strangers, not shy to express his discontent in certain situations. However, with a bit of patience and the lure of yummy treats, he gradually warms up. Bender is highly treat motivated. Bender's enthusiasm shines when it's mealtime or time to head outdoors - he can't resist showing his happiness with a joyful spin. Currently refining his potty training, will need some help from his family perfecting this skill. Unfortunately Bender is terrified of leashes, so he will need a home he is free to roam and run around. Bender is a work in progress, demonstrating his commitment to learning and adapting to the world around him. Bender would do best in a home with older children or an adult only home. Bender is a dog selective dog and chooses who he will be friends with. As he does have his boundaries. With being leashed and picked up. With time and patience Bender has the potential to become a loving companion and great addition to your home. Adoption fee is waived to the right home. Meet Erzra Styles, the 10lb, 9yr old Maltese! Hi! My name is Ezra and I am a geriatric gem! What I lack in hair and eyesight, I make up for in personality! I started my rescue journey practically hairless, covered in fleas, raging skin allergies, crusty eyes, and overall shambles. Although I had humble beginnings, I have thrived with the right amount of love and care. I have grown accustomed to my spa days and brushing, as well as my shirts, hoodies, or whatever clothes I am dawned in. I have found my voice and will not hesitate to let you know how I am feeling, which may include a potty break, attention, brushing, a treat, or just to have a conversation! I get along with dogs big, small, old, and young! However I am not cat friendly. I get along with the two legged roommates young and old, or humans as you call them. I am kennel trained and hate to make a mess, but am so happy to make sure every corner of the yard and blade of grass is watered properly. Also because I just want a place to call my own, and it must have my smell. Kaiden is approx a 6 year old, 13lb Maltese mix. Kaiden is a loveable little guy. He loves to be brushed and lay next to his person. He loves mealtime and is on Natural Balance vegetarian food he is allergic to meat. He does have some allergies so he requires a monthly cytopoint injection and baths a couple times a week. He is also on thyroid medication daily. He is potty trained and will go to the door and asked to be let out. He gets along well with other dogs. It takes him a bit to warm up to people. If his allergies are bothering him he dosen't like to be petted or scratched and can be a bit moody, sometimes reactive. No small children under 12 Has free roam of the house. Lays on his bed in the living room a lot.He is a little skittish when approached sometimes but likes petting, scratches and lounging onthe couch. Will come up and want lap time and loving. Not reactive to other dogs. When our high energy jumping GSD walked by him twice, henipped at his legs once like he was trying to herd him. The GSD was non-reactive. He is food and treat motivated when it’s mealtime. Follows us to the kitchen or when he smells food. Only barks occasionally when he hears something outside or if another dog barks. Will walk slowly with a leash on. Does not like loud noises. Goes to the door when he needs to go to the bathroom. Mostly house trained. On a special vegetarian dry dog food diet. Seems to be allergic to meat and most grains Given Cytopoint once a month for allergies, and Thyrovet every day for thyroid problem. Comes when we call his name.
