Story
Just in time for Saint Paddy’s meet Molly, the good luck charm you have been dreaming of.  She is a 14 week old Maltese mix (on her mother’s side, dad is unknown), and currently just under 9lbs.  Molly has fantastic, soft, and wild hair in the loveliest shades of cream, brown, and black.  She is sure to have amazing markings as she grows.  She is a playful and sweet pup, who loves toys, but truly her favorite is just sitting in the toy bin and chewing a bone.   Molly is an overnight rockstar in her crate and for her puppy naps during the day.  She is currently puppy pad trained and doing great learning to go outside.  New to a leash and harness, Molly is doing great learning to go on walks and is very happy to trot along side you in the yard or house off leash.  She is good with other dogs, cats, children, and even chickens.   Molly is looking for a home that will help her finish her good girl training out and give her lots of both lap and playtime.  If you are looking for that springtime companion to get out and enjoy the weather, or cozy up under a blanket on a rainy day, she has it all!   Please email us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com for more info or an application. (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) NOTE: Most puppies do best in the company of an older dog who can teach them "doggy manners," so homes with at least one other dog usually will be given preference in puppy adoptions. Please read Suzanne Clothier's wonderful article, "It Takes a Pack to Raise a Puppy!" PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php . We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us atAlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com. To speed e-mail processing time, be sure to note the name of the dog you are inquiring about in the Subject line. For Meet & Greet times and locations, visit our home page, where you also will find information on our adoption process and fees. FOSTER FAMILIES ARE LIFESAVERS!! Can you open your heart and home for a few weeks to homeless shelter dog? Remember, by fostering a dog, you save TWO lives — that of your foster dog, and that of the dog who takes his place in the shelter! Come to a Meet & Greet and find out if fostering is for you — there's no reward quite like the feeling that you've saved a life ... or two!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 10, 2025, 1:04 pm

Story
Meet Vanelle, a sweet 6-year-old Maltese who is looking for a patient and loving home. Vanelle is a bit shy and scared at first, but with time and gentle care, she’ll open up and show you just how much love she has to give. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs (both big and small) and loves snuggling in her cozy sweaters. She’s hoping to find a calm and quiet environment where she can feel safe and secure while building a bond with her new family. Vanelle's new home must have a fenced-in yard. She will not walk while on a leash, and we cannot expect that from her being placed into a new home. Vanelle is up to date on all her vaccinations, spayed, and has had a dental with several extractions. If you’re looking for a gentle companion who just needs a little time to trust, Vanelle might be the perfect fit for you! PA Kennel License #5254Wags Rescue & ReferralSouthampton Pa 18966 Available 3/2/2025 Originated fromAllmons All About Animals DL# 17277Blackshear GA 31516 BE ADVISED: Before you apply for this adorable 10 lb dog. She has lived her entire life in a puppy mill crate. She is not housetrained. She will poo in a crate and lay in it and smear it because she has spent the last 3 years of her life with no other option. She will require patience and love to overcome a lifetime of neglect. She is loving and will reward you for your patience. The following bio is from her foster mom. This sweet little girl is Chloe Talbot. She came into rescue after years of living as a breeder mama at a puppy mill in Georgia. She is understandably timid and takes some time to trust. Chloe is especially cautious of men at this time. We are working hard to help her realize that she is safe now and that she can trust men again. She has become very comfortable with her female foster, and Chloe makes herself comfortable on her lap, where she would like to stay forever. This cute girl likes to be wherever her favorite person goes. Chloe is learning that she is deserving of all the love, kindness, and comfort that she was lacking for so long. She loves her doggie foster sisters who enjoy running with her in the yard. They're both helping to teach her how to be a dog. Also, Chloe is working to understand that her potty place is outside. After living in a crate for three years, this is a concept that is going to take time. She would do best in a quieter home where someone is home a good bit of the time. She is truly ten pounds of love who is looking for an understanding, compassionate person to show her unconditional love that she will surely return tenfold.
