Story
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 4/25//25 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Louie to our trip for the right home 💕 Meet Louie!!! First and foremost, the area on top of his nose that doesn't have any hair was caused by it being scraped on his crate in his prior home. The area has finally healed. Due to trauma of the skin itself, it will take time for the hair to grow back (but it's starting to, we can see it.) I just wanted to make sure we addressed that so that you don't allow it to be a deciding factor in adding him to your home because you would be missing out on a wonderful friend if you did 💙💙💙 No! His ears don't stand up! The wind has been pretty intense here lately so his ears were flapping in the breeze when some of the photos were taken 😊 My boy Louie 💕 He is a Maltipoo. (Poodle/Maltese mix.) He turns 2 years of age on 6/26/25. He weighs lbs. Yes, he is fully grown and at a very healthy weight. He is neutered, microchipped, current on all of his yearly vaccinations, and had a dental cleaning done at time of his neuter along with a wonderful exam with our vet who has officially cleared him to find a home all his own 😊 He is house trained, and goes outside every 3-4 hours to use the restroom as needed. If he needs to go outside between that time frame he will bark to tell you to let him out. He is very communicative which makes addressing his needs so much easier! He is crate trained, and currently sleeps in his crate at night or to nap in during the day. He is very good about being in his crate, even if you need to step out of the home and would like for him to be crated til you are back home. He is always happy to please you, and loves being a good boy ❤️❤️❤️❤️ If you wanted him in a dog bed aside yours, or in bed with you that won't be a hard transition at all either! He adapts however you need him to 😊 He is leash trained and loves his walks!! He is very social and LOVES strolling around the neighborhood. He loves sightseeing, and meeting new friends along with his walks. He will make them so much more enjoyable for you too having such an incredible friend to share them with who will teach you to stop and "literally" smell the roses 🌹 He is good with other dogs, and cats alike. He isn't a dog that plays with other dogs but does love good company if you do have another sweet animal in your home. He would be a sweet friend to them, but his joy would always lay with his person. He doesn't need other dogs or cats to have a happy and complete life, he just needs his person ❤️❤️❤️ He would make an amazing only friend as he loves being doted on, especially when all eyes and hands are on him (for snuggles and ear rubs of course!!!) He is not a barker, but will alert you of unfamiliar noises. He listens well, so a quick correction and he will allow you to take over while he follows closely behind just in case you still need him as back up😂 He is very well behaved in the home, and if he isn't lounging nearby on a bed or in his crate napping, he will be at your feet so he makes sure he doesn't miss you getting up from whatever task is keeping you from hanging with him! He will occasionally sit and stare at you to hurry up if he wants to go on a walk or will stare at the front door and back at you to make sure his need for a walk is clear 😂 He is NOT hard to please!!! He really is the best boy and he sure knows it!!! He is so sweet and full of love to last a lifetime, so make sure it's part of your lifetime so that you don't miss out on what he will add to not only your life, but your home and heart! His prior owners unfortunately didn't know where he fit into their lives anymore. They had just had a baby, and with work, being new parents, and juggling how different their life was out of a sudden they found themselves crating Louie more and more. He wasn't happy about it, and tried getting out finally which is what caused the scrape on his nose to happen. They knew after that, that they couldn't keep him as it wasn't fair to him to be a part of their lives in the manner he was. He deserved to be a part of his humans as a whole again so they reached out to us to take him in and find him the absolute best home so here we are ❤️❤️ His adoption fee along with its breakdown is on our website at the bottom of his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/blog It covers his neuter, vaccines, microchip/registration, dental cleaning and the costs associated with that (additional anesthesia, IV fluids, and his antibiotic injection given to aid in the healing of his neuter and dental,) along with his overall exam with our vet. His teeth were in overall great health he just needed a good polish and clean. There were no missing teeth, or extractions. As always his adoption fee also goes back into the care involved in the time he has been with us here which included the care and healing of his nose, his grooming costs, and training we have personally done with him!

Story
Meet Layla, a sweet and playful 7lb Maltese who is just about to turn one in May! Layla is as loving as she is adorable. She’s great with dogs of all sizes, and her friendly nature makes her an instant companion to anyone she meets. She loves being the center of attention and will follow you around, eager to be by your side, whether you’re out shopping or just lounging at home. She’s great on a leash and enjoys short walks outside. She’s always on alert, ready to let you know if someone is at the door with her little bark. Though Layla has been introduced to a crate, she’d much prefer to sleep in a cozy bed beside yours, and she’ll let you know if she’s not fond of being confined. She’s also doing well with potty training, and she loves cuddling up in her bed for a good nap. Layla’s a little social butterfly. If you’re working at your desk or watching TV, she’ll happily curl up in your lap or sit beside you, content to just be nearby. If you’re busy with other things, she’ll happily settle on her own bed or play with her favorite toy, checking in on you every now and then to make sure you’re not going too far. Road trips are one of her favorites. She’s great in the car and loves her little seat beside you. She’s also a big fan of spa days and comes back looking fresh and feeling fabulous after visiting the groomer. 🥰 Sadly, when Layla came to us, we noticed she wasn’t using her back right leg. After an X-ray, our vet confirmed that she had an old fracture that is due to trauma or genetic factor that requires femoral head ostectomy surgery, a procedure used to relieve pain from hip dysplasia, arthritis, or traumatic injuries. Sweet Layla recently underwent FHO surgery to help her regain mobility and live pain free. Right now, she's done with the early stages of recovery and has been on kennel rest for 4 weeks getting lots of love and care. She had a follow up appointment at two weeks, where they removed her sutures. Layla is such a strong girl, and we are so blessed to see her get back on her paws! You can follow us on Instagram or Facebook to see these updates sooner @k9oasisrescue (: We’re hoping to find a patient and loving forever home that can provide Layla with the care she needs as she heals. If you have experience with hip conditions or are simply someone who can offer a calm, loving environment, Layla will flourish with you. She has been seen for another follow up at 4 weeks post-surgery and is ready to leave us for the right home. They recommend another 3 weeks of no running or jumping but she has been using her leg and slowly but surely will be at her best (: Her adoption fee is $3,000, and any donations to help cover her medical costs are greatly appreciated. If you’re interested in adopting or donating, please reach out to us for more details. Thank you for considering Layla, and we hope to hear from you soon! ❤️ Located in Hesperia, CA. We offer out-of-state adoptions and can arrange transportation to your location, provided that the transport expenses are covered.

Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. Story
Popcorn is about 18 lbs., 14 years old and according to Google lens, a West highland terrier. Animal Care Services thought he was a Maltese mix and foster mom thinks he could be a Schnauzer/Maltese mix but knows for sure that he is the cutest scruffy EVER!!! His journey hasn't been all snuggles and treats as he lived on someone's apartment patio for years, lying in poop, grass and other debris until Animal Care Services came for him and God's Dogs Rescue was able to save the little scamp. While he still loves his humans, other gentle pups his size (cats unknown) and his squishy toys and chewy, understandably he has a few emotional scars especially regarding vet visits and grooming. Slow, patient progress in these areas has helped him be more confident, but will need a patient adopter to help him adapt. Things that make Popcorn super happy are spending time with his humans after he gets to know them, car rides and walks in the park. He loves, loves his squishy toys and generally carries one around with him. His most favorite game is for his person to chase him and pretend to take his squishy away. He also like to run zooms and if there isn't a person to play with he will often throw his toys for himself. Doesn't that just make you want to throw his stuffies so he can play?? He's a healthy guy for his age with just a few old man issues (beginnings of cataracts) that he takes supplements for and should continue taking. His liver enzymes were high when tested but he is on a med to help them normalize. Can you give this boy the right lap to live in?? He needs very patient/knowledgeable adopters, no children- adult only because he will bite if afraid... It is a work in progress but he is becoming the goofy boy he was meant to be while living on the nasty hot and freezing porch for most of his 14 yrs :( GIVE HIM A CHANCE!!! Local adoption only $200 (in TX)
