Story
Meet Ttori, a 10-year-old Maltese with a pristine white coat weighing 3.4kg. This little gentleman is as charming as they come! Ttori loves people, greeting both familiar faces and strangers with enthusiasm, often rubbing against them and happily inviting gentle pets. While he hasn’t had the chance to meet children under 13, his sweet and gentle nature makes him a safe companion for kids. He’s so trusting that you can scoop him up with an arm under his belly, and once he feels comfortable, he’ll even roll over to show his tummy. When it comes to other dogs, Ttori is polite and curious, approaching them for a friendly hello, though he’s not interested in engaging in play. He mostly prefers to do his own thing and shows little interest in other dogs or even other animals, like cats or birds. His general demeanor is one of calm detachment. Ttori is a low-energy pup who enjoys relaxing and taking it easy. He spends most of his day napping, but during his awake and walking hours, he can get a bit busy exploring his surroundings. On walks, he’s a dream—following calmly and never pulling on the leash. At home, he rarely barks, making him a wonderfully quiet companion. While he’s comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going outdoors for potty breaks, he has a tendency to mark when in unfamiliar places. He does whine a bit when in a kennel but settles down quickly. While Ttori didn’t show any signs of separation anxiety at the shelter, things are a little different in his current foster home. If his foster mom leaves, Ttori will whimper or even howl for a bit, especially if he senses he’s being left behind. However, if given a long-lasting treat before she heads out, he’ll relax after a while and settle into his spot to rest. This good boy is learning to adjust and shows great potential to thrive in a loving forever home! Story
Meet Teddy – Your Loving, Lively Companion! Teddy is an adorable 11-year-old Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese mix weighing 12 pounds. Born on February 11, 2013, Teddy has spent his life bringing joy to those around him. Now, he’s ready to find his perfect forever home where he can feel safe, loved, and part of the family! A Little About Teddy Teddy is a neutered gentleman who is up to date with his vetting and has been lovingly cared for. While he can be hesitant when meeting new people, once Teddy warms up, he’s an affectionate, social, and lively companion who thrives on love and attention. What Makes Teddy Special Loves His People: Teddy thrives on being around his loved ones and enjoys being included in family activities. He loves being held, soaking up belly rubs, and spending quality time with his humans. Dinner time Leader: Teddy is skilled at gathering everyone together, especially in the kitchen and family movies. There is no need to have a dinner bell. Teddy is the best way to know dinner is ready as he is the first to let you know it’s dinner time and gets you to follow him to the kitchen. Has been around Kids: Teddy has lived with children since they were toddlers, making him a great fit for families with little ones. Other Dogs and animals: In his previous home, he got along well with other dogs and has made friends with pups of all sizes, including a Border Collie and a poodle mix Vocal: Teddy can be vocal especially when he wants attention or feels something needs addressing. Due to this, he may not be the best match for apartments or condos dwellers where noise might be an issue. A home with more space and understanding neighbors would be ideal. Sensitive to His Environment: Teddy has cataracts and limited vision, so a minimal, well-organized space is ideal for him. Special care is needed to ensure his environment is safe and free from hazards, allowing him to move around comfortably without risk of injury. Dislikes Being Alone: Teddy does not enjoy being left alone and prefers a home where he can be surrounded by his family most of the time. Daily Life with Teddy Energy and Involvement: Teddy enjoys going in the backyard, being active and part of the family. Whether it’s a walk, cuddle time, or just following you around, he’s happiest when he’s included in daily life. On walks, he may bark or growl at dogs on the same side of the street but is otherwise unbothered by people or vehicles. Diet: Teddy thrives on a diet of cooked rice and chicken, along with Blue Buffalo Wilderness Small Breed kibble. He also enjoys rice, carrots, and peas, which help keep his tummy happy.  Grooming and Handling: Teddy is cooperative with grooming, baths, and vet visits. While he dislikes any pats on his backside and hips, he loves being pampered with belly rubs and cuddles. He also handles daily eye drops and other care with ease. Medical Notes Teddy had successful CCL surgery on his back left leg in January 2023 and takes gabapentin daily for leg soreness and anxiety. Chronic pain management and monitoring his pain points is essential for Teddy. His cataracts affect his vision, so he relies on his family to provide a secure and predictable environment. Ideal Home for Teddy Teddy would thrive in an active but calm and loving home where his family can include him in their daily activities and provide the special care he needs. Teddy’s ideal home would also include someone who can spend lots of time with him, ensuring he feels secure and loved. Ready to Meet Teddy? If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal, and energetic companion who needs a little extra care and attention, Teddy is waiting to meet you! With patience and love, he’ll reward you with endless snuggles, wagging tails, and unconditional devotion. Contact us today to make Teddy a part of your family! January 23, 2025, 9:15 am

Stevie is a sweet playful boy. He is a curly haired non shedder who is a year old. He is a mix of what seems to be a westie or a maltese with a poodle perhaps. He loves to stand on his back legs and wave. Stevie is smart and does great with other dogs and is fine with cats. Stevie walks on a leash and is house trained. Stevie weighs about 25 pounds and is bigger than a maltese. One ear turns up and the other turns down. He is a mix of white and apricot and is all around adorable. He would love to go for rides and walks and be trained to do tricks and just have fun. He is neutered, up to date on shots, and healthy. We would love to tell you about him and our foster to adopt program and have you meet him. If live in Ontario within 3 hours of Toronto please email our rescue at c4ptoronto@gmail.com.

Quick Facts  Name: Popeye Age: Approximately 2 years old Gender: Male Neutered: Yes Breed: Maltese Mix Color: White with Beige Weight: 6 kg Height (to shoulder): 30 cm Microchip Number: 410160010784129 Health History Vaccinations & Preventatives                •             Vaccinations are up-to-date:                             Core vaccines (Distemper, Parvo, Rabies) completed on January 13, 2025.                             Kennel Cough and Influenza scheduled for January 27, 2025.                •             Tested negative for heartworm on December 8, 2024. Surgeries & Dental Care                •             Neutered.                •             No prior surgeries or dental procedures. Special Notes                •             My left hind foot has a unique story—one of my toes is missing. The area has healed beautifully, but the fur is still growing back. This makes it look a little pink, and I do occasionally give it a lick. My caregivers think it’ll be fully covered in fluffy fur soon!                •             No known allergies or joint issues. My Personality I’m a social butterfly with both people and dogs. New faces? Bring them on! I’ll trot up, wagging my tail and ready to be your best friend. Whether it’s adults, kids, or other pups, I have a knack for making everyone feel welcome. I’m a big fan of cuddles and don’t mind being picked up or held. You can cradle me in your arms, and I’ll relax without a fuss. Even when it’s time for grooming—nail trims, baths, or brushing—I’m patient and cooperative. Oh, and did I mention I’m totally unfazed by noisy vacuums? (Although, I’ll admit, I’m still warming up to hair dryers!) When it’s playtime, I transform into a little ball of energy, eager to run, jump, and play to my heart’s content. But don’t worry—I’m not overly hyper. I just love life and want to share my excitement with you! My Daily AdventuresWalks are one of my favorite activities. I’m a pro on the leash, staying close to your side without pulling. My curiosity keeps me sniffing around, but I always listen and follow your lead. While I’m naturally energetic, after a good walk or play session, I settle down beautifully and enjoy relaxing by your side. I’ve also got some adorable talents—like hopping into cars all on my own! Whether it’s a short drive or a road trip, I’m ready to be your travel buddy. At HomeI’m a versatile pup who’s comfortable both indoors and outdoors. I’ve mastered using pee pads indoors for my business, though I prefer taking care of everything outdoors when given the chance. I’m also incredibly polite around food—I never guard my meals or treats, even when other dogs are around. One thing that makes me special is my calm demeanor. I rarely bark and adapt quickly to new environments. My Dream HomeI’m searching for a family that’s full of love and ready for adventure. Here’s what I hope for in my forever home: A family that enjoys the outdoors and can keep up with my playful spirit. Someone who appreciates snuggles as much as playtime. A warm, welcoming environment where I can continue spreading joy and love. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who’s equal parts cuddly and fun, I might just be the perfect fit. Let’s meet soon—I can’t wait to wag my way into your heart! ##2282683##

My Personality I’m a total people-lover! I warm up quickly to new friends, and if you give me a little attention, I’ll happily roll over to show you my belly. I’d much rather spend my time soaking up love from my humans. Oh, and did I mention treats? I love treats! They are the way to my heart, and I’ll do just about anything for a yummy snack. On My Walks I’m a wonderful walking buddy! I have lots of experience on a leash and walk right by your side without pulling. Here’s what I hope for in my forever family: Someone who loves affectionate, people-oriented dogs—I’ll be your little shadow! A cozy space where I can curl up and feel safe. A home where I can be the center of attention (I don’t mind other dogs, but I don’t need them). I may seem a little shy when we first meet, but a tasty treat is all it takes for me to warm up to you. Once I feel comfortable, I’m ready to be your best friend. Story
Meet Bear! A charming 2-year-old neutered male Bichon Frise with a soft, fluffy white coat. Weighing in at 4kg, this little guy is as sweet as he is adorable. At first, Bear might be a bit reserved when meeting new people, but offer him a treat, and he’ll quickly warm up to you! He’s comfortable around both men and women and enjoys gentle affection. He can be picked up safely by placing your arms under his belly. When it comes to other dogs, Bear is a social butterfly! He loves making new friends—big or small—and happily greets both familiar and unfamiliar pups. He’s easygoing and doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, even if another dog tries to provoke him. While he enjoys following other dogs around, he may feel a little overwhelmed by those with high energy levels. Although he hasn’t lived with cats before, we believe he could coexist with them, and we’d be happy to test his compatibility. Bear has a moderate energy level—he enjoys outdoor adventures but is just as happy to relax afterward. However, since he spent his early life in a breeding facility, he has never been on a walk before. He’s still adjusting to wearing a leash and getting used to the sights and sounds of the outside world, so he’ll need some gentle guidance and patience as he learns. This little guy is a dream when it comes to manners! He’s not possessive over food, rarely barks, and doesn’t seem to struggle with separation anxiety. He’s also comfortable in a crate and can use both pee pads indoors and go potty outside. Rescued from a breeding facility in Geoje, Bear is now ready for a loving home where he can continue to grow and experience all the joys of being a cherished companion! Send in your application today through our website https://adoptmekoreanrescue.org/adoption-application/ He can arrive at Vancouver or Toronto airport and may be able to arrive at some US airports (Seattle, LA, NY, Boston etc) where we have flight volunteers. Story
Meet Knox, a lovable 2-year-old neutered male Bichon Frise with a fluffy white coat and a big heart. Weighing 6.4kg, he’s full of affection and always ready to make new friends! Knox is an absolute people-lover. Whether it’s someone he knows or a complete stranger, he’ll happily trot over, rub against them, and soak up all the attention. Call his name, and he’ll come running, eager to be by your side. He has no preference between men and women, and while he hasn’t had experience with young children, we believe he would do well with them. He’s comfortable being picked up with arms under his belly and even rolls over to show his tummy to new people without hesitation! When it comes to other dogs, Knox is just as friendly. He greets every pup—big or small—with enthusiasm and isn’t shy about showing affection. His playful, easygoing nature allows him to get along with even high-energy dogs, and if another dog tries to provoke him, he simply walks away. However, as much as he enjoys canine company, Knox’s heart truly belongs to people—his favorite place is right by your side! Though he hasn’t lived with cats before, he seems adaptable and could likely coexist with them. Knox has a slightly higher-than-average energy level, which makes sense given that he spent nearly two years confined before finally experiencing freedom. He may be extra excited at first and eager to play until he tires himself out, so regular outdoor activities will be essential for him. Since Knox was rescued from a breeding facility, he has never been on a walk before. Leashes and outdoor noises are still new and a bit scary for him, so he’ll need patience and positive reinforcement as he learns. Knox is a well-mannered pup who doesn’t guard his food from people or other dogs. He does have some demand barking, especially when confined, as he likes to be part of the action. However, if left alone for a while, he settles down. When he’s with people, he’s generally quiet and content. He’s used to both pee pads and outdoor pottying, but he may need a refresher in a new environment. Rescued from a breeding facility in Geoje, Knox is now ready for a loving home where he can experience the joy of companionship and adventure! Send in your application today through our website https://adoptmekoreanrescue.org/adoption-application/ He can arrive at Vancouver or Toronto airport and may be able to arrive at some US airports (Seattle, LA, NY, Boston etc) where we have flight volunteers. Story
Meet Barney! This charming two-year-old Bichon Frise is as sweet as he is fluffy. Weighing in at 4.5kg, Barney is a gentle soul who might be a little shy at first, but with a tasty treat, he warms up quickly and happily accepts affection. He loves people and, once he feels comfortable, will eagerly seek out cuddles. While he’s still getting used to strangers touching him right away, he has no trouble being picked up—even by someone he just met. Though he hasn’t had experience with children under 13, his friendly and gentle nature suggests he’d do well with them. He’s just as happy meeting men as he is meeting women! When it comes to other dogs, Barney is a social butterfly. He’s full of curiosity and enjoys making new canine friends, regardless of whether they’re familiar or complete strangers. He especially loves bigger dogs but also gets along just fine with pups his own size or smaller. Even if another dog tries to pick a fight, Barney prefers to steer clear of trouble. He has no problem keeping up with high-energy playmates, though he sometimes gets knocked around due to his smaller size. Barney hasn’t lived with cats before, but given his gentle and friendly personality, he seems like a great candidate for a multi-pet home. His energy level is moderate—he’s calm indoors but loves to run and play when outside. As a former breeding dog, Barney had never experienced the outside world before his rescue, which means he’s still getting used to wearing a leash and adjusting to the sights and sounds of the outdoors. Walks are a work in progress, and he’ll need a patient adopter to help him gain confidence. Barney has excellent manners—he doesn’t guard his food or toys, rarely barks (except when excited during play), and is comfortable in a kennel. He’s mostly house-trained, preferring to do his business outside, though he may need a refresher when adjusting to a new environment. Rescued from a breeding facility in Geoje, South Korea, Barney is now ready to start a new chapter. With a little patience and a lot of love, he’ll make an affectionate and loyal companion! Send in your application today through our website https://adoptmekoreanrescue.org/adoption-application/ He can arrive at Vancouver or Toronto airport and may be able to arrive at some US airports (Seattle, LA, NY, Boston etc) where we have flight volunteers.
