Story
Meet Rambi – The Sweet and Affectionate Companion Gender: Female Age: 7 years Weight: 3.5 kg Breed: Maltese Rambi’s story is one of strength and sweetness. She was found abandoned on a rainy day along a mountain trail, but her love for people remains unshaken. She’s incredibly friendly and loves cuddles. Rambi easily accepts treats from strangers, shows her belly for rubs, and enjoys being held. Her playful and affectionate personality is sure to melt your heart. True to her Maltese nature, Rambi can show a touch of jealousy, though it’s mild and manageable. When left alone, she might bark briefly to call attention but quickly settles down on her own. Her bark is soft and not disruptive. Rambi is independent around other dogs, showing little interest in them, but she’s kind and peaceful. She shares treats without any guarding issues and avoids conflict if other dogs show aggression. On walks, Rambi is a dream—she follows her person closely without pulling on the leash. Her calm and adaptable nature makes her a wonderful companion for someone looking for a small dog with a big heart. If you’re searching for a sweet, loyal, and affectionate pup to brighten your days, Rambi is ready to be your best friend! 🐾💕

She lets us know if she is unsure by barking but is quickly comforted by being picked up for a snuggle. She will approach us cautiously to give us a lick on the hand. She eats well and has perfect body condition. She sleeps well in her dog bed and will also jump on the sofa for a snooze. She is taken outside a couple of times for toilet breaks. Josie has a beautiful white coat is growing in. She has been bathed and brushed with no problem. Like many of our “Mill Moms” she’ll need patience and understanding as she moves on to her next chapter!November 19, 2024, 10:13 am

Story
Stevie is a sweet playful boy. He is a curly haired non shedder who is a year old. He is a mix of what seems to be a westie or a maltese with a poodle perhaps. He loves to stand on his back legs and wave. Stevie is smart and does great with other dogs and is fine with cats. Stevie walks on a leash and is house trained. Stevie weighs about 25 pounds and is bigger than a maltese. One ear turns up and the other turns down. He is a mix of white and apricot and is all around adorable. He would love to go for rides and walks and be trained to do tricks and just have fun. He is neutered, up to date on shots, and healthy. We would love to tell you about him and our foster to adopt program and have you meet him. If live in Ontario within 3 hours of Toronto please email our rescue at c4ptoronto@gmail.com.

Once he feels comfortable, he enjoys being carried and will even roll over for belly rubs. While he may pull a bit during walks, he generally follows his handler well. 🐶Behavior with Resources🐾 Hamduk does exhibit resource guarding behaviors towards other dogs and people. He will bark if he needs something and gives a “woof” when he sees strangers. 🏠Adjustment to New Environments🚽 In new environments, he may mark his territory initially, but he settles down quickly once he feels at home. 🥩Food Motivation🥕 He is very food motivated, so be sure to keep your hands out of sight when giving treats!😅 🗒️Special Notes✏️ Be aware that he has a habit of nipping at strangers’ ankles if they turn their backs😱. Supervision is essential to ensure he doesn’t receive too much attention from unfamiliar faces. 💌Last Message💌 Hamduk is looking for a loving home where he can feel secure and appreciated.
