Story
Angus and Fergus are a lovely & delightful bonded pair and must be adopted together. . They both have good energy and love going for walks and being outdoors. They have no mobility problems and bound up stairs with no problem. They are very loving and affectionate and just enjoy being with you – happy to sit in a comfy chair or dog bed by you, and sometimes on you, while you watch TV or read a book. They are social and enjoy visitors, including small dogs and toddlers who are gentle with them. They are great company for each other and because they are so used to being together, they are less work than a single dog. They have been vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, have a perfect full blood panel, a negative 4dx, & dental surgery. For dogs who have been through such a stressful time, they are remarkably friendly, well-behaved and loving. They know their names and respond to a number of basic commands such as sit, outside, off, come here. Fergus walks well on a leash; Angus is a very enthusiastic walker, often pulling to sniff the next great spot and like most terriers, if he sees a squirrel he is anxious to run after it. They would be great pets for someone who lives in a relatively quiet home, is home a lot and ideally has a fenced backyard. They are currently being fostered in Mississauga, ON. Interested? I’m a 7-year-old male, and I weigh just 3kg — small enough to fit perfectly in your arms or lap. I was rescued in the nick of time from a kill shelter, and now I’m hoping for a forever home where I’ll never have to feel fear or loneliness again. Right now, I’m receiving treatment for an ear infection. One of my ears is naturally closed, so my hearing isn’t perfect, but don’t worry — it doesn’t stop me from enjoying life. I also had a vocal cord surgery before arriving at the shelter, so I rarely bark — I’m more of a gentle presence than a noisy one. I’m independent and can coexist peacefully with other dogs, but deep down, I’d love a home where I can be the center of your world. I’m especially loving toward people, and I don’t hesitate to approach strangers with a wagging tail and a soft heart. I get along great with both women and men — no fear here! When it’s time for walks, I may pull a little on the leash, but I respond well to gentle guidance. I’m calm even in noisy cities, around flapping banners, passing cars, or bustling sidewalks. I don’t react to cats or birds, and I’m easy to gear up with a harness and leash. I’m not very interested in toys, but I do love food! Even so, I’m polite and gentle — I don’t guard my treats or snap if you take something away. I just want to share peace and kindness. I can handle low stairs by myself, but for taller ones, I’d love a helping hand (or an arm to carry me!). I stay calm even in busy or cluttered environments — nothing seems to rattle me much. All I need is someone who will come close, slowly and gently, with love and patience. I’ve been through a lot, but I’ve never stopped believing in people.
