Story
Coconut is estimated to be around 10-months old and a Maltese mix weighing 9 pounds. She came to the shelter as a stray so her history is unknown. Coconut is the definition of a velcro dog! She needs to be close to her person at all times, and when we say close we mean stuck (like velcro) to you. Suspected separation anxiety. When left alone she cries (very loudly & dramatically)! Coconut is a bit nervous & shy, she's working on building her confidence, doesn't keep her from seeking affection. She's a little cuddle bug that loves to give kisses (she's a licker)! She needs work on all things puppy, housebreaking, leash manners, etc. Her butt wiggles will having you falling in love! Other dogs in the home will need to be respectful of her.Her adoption fee is $400, this includes her spay, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. Her dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $21.00. Please visit the shelter to meet her, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions and there is a $10 non-refundable application fee.Come and meet your new best friend today! The Humane Society of Sandusky County is open Monday -Friday 1pm - 5pm and Saturdays from 1pm - 4pm. Also, be sure to check us out on FaceBook!
