If you’re looking for an ultra-sweet grandpa dog, Keizer is your guy! This 10-year old, 5-pound Maltese mix is a mellow, mushy, marvelous ‘lil man who is as portable as they come! Easy to get along with, Keizer gets along with everyone, including kids and other dogs. He’s not too interested in toys, but if you want to pet him, he’s always down for that! Keizer seems to enjoy the outdoors, he loves going for walks, and he is well-mannered on a leash. Keizer is not yet fully housebroken, but he’s making excellent progress with the pee pads, esp when it comes to pooping. All he needs is a little time and patience…and soft treats to get his attention! Keizer has no teeth, so his food needs to be moistened and easy to chew. And wouldn’t ya know it, Keizer’s favorite time of day is meal time! No teeth, no problem - he somehow makes it work! An overall low-energy fella, Keizer spends a good part of the day snoozing, but when he’s awake, he hops around, he likes attention, he’s good in a car, and he’s amusing to watch. He rarely barks and he barely sheds…but if he sees his reflection in the mirror, you might find him woofing to himself! This mini-mop is so easy to love and an absolute pleasure to have around. My husband and I adopted Penelope 9 years ago after she was picked up by NYC animal control from the streets of Brooklyn. When she was found her hair was dyed pink and completed matted, she was malnourished and had no identification. Since we adopted her we have spend countless hours, money and love to care for her. She was previously very reactive towards people and other dogs, we sent her away to be trained by an ex military and personal protection dog trainer who worked on her aggression issues and successfully trained her to behave using a e-collar. Penelope is now 10 years old and unfortunately we are unable to provide her the care she desires day to day. Our family has expanded to two children (3 and 1) as well as a second dog and we are very busy and living in Manhattan. Penelope needs to be in an adults only home where she is the only dog and she can be the center of attention. She will also do much better in a suburb where she can potty often in an enclosed backyard.

I am in the process of wee wee pad training her but she is a quick learner so it’s taking some time, patience, and comfortability. I’m also still learning her favorite treats. Milenese is not house trained yet as far as using the bathroom on training pads but foster is still working with her. Milenese is learning how to walk on a lease outside but does enjoy being outside and watching what is going on around her. Milenese likes to be petted and enjoys belly rubs. Milenese likes a comfortable dog bed. Milenese has displayed a lttle anxiety when left alone for to long.
