Story
** Current Location: in a private facility in South Korea ** • Rescue Story : A dog with its eyes completely missing, a dog whose body was entirely blackened, a dog with rotting genitals... We struggle to find the words to describe the horrors we witnessed. Like hamsters on a wheel, the dogs cried out for help. There were every kind of dog here, some that were once fashionable and others currently in demand. The once trendy dogs were dying in the corner, while those now popular were crying out for salvation with every part of their body. This place had been illegally breeding and abusing animals for 25 years. From this hell, the rescue team saved Lulu. • Personality: Cuddle lover, people-oriented, loyal Lulu is affectionate and friendly with all people. He enjoys being touched. He is a "cuddle enthusiast" and often smiles when receiving attention. • Affinity with -Cats: Not tested -Dogs: Lulu has limited experience interacting with other dogs. He doesn't show much interest in them but could benefit from living with a similarly-sized companion. His social skills will develop as he gains more experience. -Adults/Kids: Lulu is affectionate and friendly with all people. • Shedding: 1-2 (1-10 scale) • Walking Manners: Lulu has not yet had proper walks. Once his adoption is confirmed, he will receive walking training, but continued practice with his adopter will be necessary. • Housetrained: Lulu frequently marks indoors and is still learning to use pads. More training is needed, and his adopter will need to continue this process. Once his adoption is confirmed, the team will continue pad training, but the adopter will need to maintain consistency with training. Baths/Brushing: He's calm during grooming, including nail trimming and brushing. • Separation Anxiety: None at the current facility • Barker or Quiet: Occasional demand barking (getting out of a crate, asking for more belly rubs, etc.) • Food Allergies: None • Likes & Dislikes: Likes People, treats, cuddles, and toys! • Health: Lulu has undergone surgery for both patellar luxation and is currently in rehabilitation. An ulcer in his left cornea is being treated with eye drops and is recovering.

Story
When you meet this adorable 6 pound, pure Maltese boy, you will understand why we call him Might Tiny Picasso.   Loving. And  extremely affectionate,  this white fluff balls was reaching through his wire crate to grab your haand and your heart when we picked him from the shelter.  Found is astray and extremely bedraggled, and long-haired. This boy needed neutering and a grooming and definitely a better home for his future.  He is learning all about crate.Training and housebreaking, which is coming along beautifully.  He came into our care on march twenty seventh and we're not getting too attached because we know a great home is right around the corner for him.  He's living with Yorkies right now and doing his best to be their good friends.   He loves being outside and he loves sitting on the back of the sofa, overlooking his foster mom's domain.   Your lap is the best place in life for him.   Mighty tiny picasso will bring the artwork of love to your life.  Please contact critter cavalry rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.   He is currently in Nashville, Tennessee, and we transport to the northeast every weekend.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 1, 2025, 12:43 am

Story
Meet Charlie. The sweet senior was surrendered with his brother, Clyde, to our rescue by the only family they’ve ever known. While these two boys technically had a home, they were kept in the basement and did not have the care or engagement they deserved. Both dogs came into the rescue in dire need of dental work, both living with pain and infection. Both pups have since been fully vetted, had dental work, and been groomed. NOTE: Charlie and Clyde are not bonded, but they are friends. They have been living in separate foster homes and doing well. They can be adopted as a pair or separately Charlie has been living in a wonderful local foster home for the past few months, getting lots of love and attention. He is flourishing and is an exceptionally sweet, social, and easygoing senior who does well with cats, dogs, and all people. He  still has a bounce in his step when it’s food time or heading out for a walk. Every once in a while, he will get the zoomies and run up and down the hall as quickly as he can. He loves being part of a family and will greet you with joy and enthusiasm when you come home. He just wants to belong and have his people to love. Charlie is a low to moderate-energy dog and champion cuddler. He follows his foster mom from room to room and immediately jumps in her lap when she sits down. He enjoys the company of other dogs, so we think another laidback pup in his home would be ideal. He’s not one to engage in play and is not very focused on toys, but he’s a respectful pup with a live-and-let-live attitude and makes a great pup companion. He also enjoys his walks and has good leash skills. We feel Charlie will do best with an owner who has a flexible schedule, preferably someone who works from home or is retired, to accommodate his need for potty breaks every 3–4 hours during the day. At night, though, he sleeps soundly without any issues. We also really want a calm dog buddy in the home for him. Charlie is a sweet and calm pup who deserves to live out his golden years in a loving home. He has good house manners, doesn’t chew on things, makes a good pup companion, and loves to cuddle.  Apply today! Meet Clyde. The sweet senior was surrendered with his brother, Charlie, to our rescue by the only family they’ve ever known. While these two boys technically had a home, they were kept in the basement and did not have the care or engagement they deserved. Both dogs came into the rescue in dire need of dental work, both living with pain and infection. Clyde also had a heart murmur that needed medication. Both pups have been fully vetted, had dental work, and been groomed, and they’re getting lots of love and attention and flourishing in wonderful foster homes. These pups are exceptionally sweet, easygoing seniors who do well with cats, dogs, and all people. NOTE: Charlie and Clyde are not bonded, but they are friends. Since they can be adopted as a pair or separately, we are featuring each pup individually. Clyde is a charming 11-year-old Maltese who will melt your heart with his soft cuddles and soulful eyes. He is a very gentle, affectionate, and laid-back boy who loves to be near his people and enjoys cuddling with his dog buddies. His foster home is an active household with a mom, dad, teen son, and two larger dogs, and he does well with everyone. Clyde would thrive in a quiet, loving home with someone who understands the joy and fulfillment of caring for and loving a senior dog. Whether you’re retired, work from home, or just want a sweet companion to keep you company, Clyde is ready to bring his gentle presence into your life. He enjoys short, leisurely strolls or just hanging out at home — he’s very adaptable and the perfect buddy for someone who enjoys a slower pace of life. He would do best in a home with a laidback pup companion and really appreciates the companionship of a dog buddy. As a senior, Clyde has some health issues to manage. He has a grade 4 to 5 heart murmur, which requires daily medications. We had an echocardiogram done to assess his condition, and he was cleared for dental surgery. He’s doing well on the medication and already had his dental cleaning and extractions. He’s feeling so much better now; his mouth infections are gone, and he has a new pep in his step. Clyde’s care will include bi-yearly bloodwork (which all seniors should have) and regular echocardiograms to monitor his heart condition every 6 to 12 months. Because of his past home conditions, Clyde currently wears a belly band during the day to protect him from marking or pee accidents. He knows to potty outside and will always poop outside. We suspect he has a mix of learned behavior from his prior home, older age, and some of the medications he is on make him more prone to potty. He has already learned to hold it overnight and enjoys snuggling up with this foster family in bed, so we’ve seen improvement. His foster mom has also noted that he tends to have more accidents when change or activity happens…so we think he could continue to improve in a calm environment. Despite his medical needs, Clyde’s foster mom, Jenn, describes him as a lovable, low-maintenance companion who is happiest snuggled up beside you or snoozing in a cozy bed. Clyde is a calm little guy who doesn’t ask for much — just a quiet, loving home where he can enjoy his golden years. Clyde may have a few extra needs, but the love he has to give is immeasurable. If you have room in your heart and home for this sweet senior, consider Clyde and apply today. NOTE: Clyde is in Charlotte, NC but can be brought to DC metro upon request!   BREED ESTIMATE: Maltese GENDER: Male APPROXIMATE WEIGHT:  10.5 lbs  APPROXIMATE AGE: ~ 11 years old COAT TYPE:  Medium-long fluffy coat ADOPTION FEE: $400 OTHER INFO: utd on shots/neutered/microchipped/recent dental LOCATION: Charlotte, NC   FOR MORE INFO OR TO ADOPT: Please go to https://adopt.worthydog.org and complete the application.
