Story
Popcorn is about 18 lbs., 15 years old and according to Google lens, a West highland terrier. Animal Care Services thought he was a Maltese mix and foster mom thinks he could be a Schnauzer/Maltese mix but knows for sure that he is the cutest scruffy EVER! His journey hasn't been all snuggles and treats as he lived on someone's apartment patio for years, lying in poop, grass and other debris until Animal Care Services came for him and God's Dogs Rescue was able to save the little scamp. While he still loves his humans, other gentle pups his size (cats unknown) and his squishy toys and chewy, understandably he has a few emotional scars especially regarding vet visits and grooming. Slow, patient progress in these areas has helped him be more confident, but will need a patient adopter to help him adapt. Things that make Popcorn super happy are spending time with his humans after he gets to know them, car rides and walks in the park. He loves, loves his squishy toys and generally carries one around with him. His most favorite game is for his person to chase him and pretend to take his squishy away. He also like to run zooms and if there isn't a person to play with he will often throw his toys for himself. Doesn't that just make you want to throw his stuffies so he can play?? He's a healthy guy for his age with just a few old man issues (beginnings of cataracts) that he takes supplements for and should continue taking. His liver enzymes were high when tested but he is on a med to help them normalize. Can you give this boy the right lap to live in?? He needs very patient/knowledgeable adopters, no children- adult only because he will bite if afraid... It is a work in progress but he is becoming the goofy boy he was meant to be while living on the nasty hot and freezing porch for most of his 14 yrs :( GIVE HIM A CHANCE!!! Local adoption only $200 (in TX)

Story
THEIR ADOPTION FEE IS BEING SPONSORED BY MARCHETTI LAWFor 10 beautiful years, Mr. Jingles and Jelly Bean were deeply loved by their person.  When she moved into a nursing home, they came to us -- together. They remind us every day that love never really ends... it just finds a new home..Meet Jelly Bean & Mr. Jingles – A Sweet and Spirited Senior Morkie Duo!Age: 10 yearsBonded Pair – Must be adopted together Looking for double the love? Meet Jelly Bean and Mr. Jingles, a charming, bonded pair of 10-year-old Morkies (Maltese/Yorkie mixes) who will steal your heart! Jelly Bean (Black and Tan) is approx 14 lbs. This petite girl is sweet, affectionate, and still has a playful sparkle. She enjoys short bursts of zoomies, playing with other dogs, and then curling up for a good nap—preferably on a pillow at the top of the couch! She’s fantastic on a leash and is also pee pad trained (though she occasionally misses just a bit). Jelly Bean adores belly rubs, treats, and chew sticks, and she brings so much joy with her happy-go-lucky personality. You'd never guess she’s a senior! Mr. Jingles, approx 11 lbsLovingly nicknamed the “grumpy old man,” Mr. Jingles is a total softie once he bonds with his person. He enjoys couch snuggles and belly rubs more than anything. While he’s not overly playful, he occasionally gets the urge to toss around a toy or two. He's great on a leash and also uses pee pads reliably. He’s not big on treats or chews and has a tendency to chew at his paws—possibly due to a chicken allergy (as reported by his previous owner), so a chicken-free diet is recommended. Home Requirements: A fenced yard is a plus but not required—these two are content with walks and indoor potty breaks on pads. They do alert to passersby if they can see out a window and are often adorably confused when people come downstairs—it's part of their charm! They would thrive in a calm, loving home, though some gentle activity and energy would be welcome too. Another dog isn't necessary, but they’ve done well with other pups, especially females. Mr. Jingles can be a bit dominant, but he’s been living peacefully with a small male dog in foster care. These two have so much love to give and are looking for a forever home where they can enjoy their golden years together. Ready to open your heart (and couch!) to this lovable duo? Apply today and meet Jelly Bean and Mr. Jingles! They are being fostered in Sewell, NJ https://peytonsplaceanimalrescue.org/adoption-application/ ##2371463##

Story
Lady’s a 7yo 10lb Maltese mix. She’s dog selective, cat and kid 13+ friendly. She’s housebroken if kept on a schedule but will wear a diaper and use pee pads and crate trained. She’s good in a secure fenced in yard and/or going for harness leashed walks. She’s agile, smart, likes squeaky toys, people and going for walks but will bark at people, dogs and noises. She is easy startled so best to sleep in a dog bed on the floor so not to accidentally wake her while sleeping. Lady’s foster requires a calm home, where someone is home often, so not to be left for long periods of time, be an only dog, brushed/groomed often to prevent matting along with leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Lady as all dogs should have 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Lady takes medication for a seizure disorder and for her eyes. She’s spayed, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Currently in Phila, PA. If your home meets the needed requirements and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org

Story
My sweet Linnie 💗 Linnie is a 10 year old Maltese little lady who was time stamped at ACCT Philly. Her owners surrendered her to the shelter because it was obvious by her breath that she needed a dental and they said they could not afford it. The team at Zoe’s House, with the help of our wonderful community, got her free of the euthanasia list and into a loving foster home. She was determined to have a serious heart murmur but with medication, she was cleared to undergo surgery to be spayed and to have a dental where the diseased teeth were removed. It was also determined that Linnie has some mammary masses, likely from not being spayed early in her life, which are likely cancerous. Her heart and age caution against the prolonged surgery to remove these masses. Linnie is on a daily heart medication and gabapentin for any discomfort. Linnie is unbothered. She is a lady who knows what she likes and what she wants. She enjoys her meals, long naps thereafter and loving in between. She travels fabulously in the car and walks well on a leash. She loves a pup cup 😋She is house trained and cares not for the crate. She doesn’t need it. She is a true lady who is just hoping to enjoy her golden years close by her human. She is being fostered with other small dogs and tolerates respectful interaction but she would love to be the center of your eye and heart. She is a joy❤️ Linnie is being fostered in Collegeville, Montgomery County. A home visit and meet and greet with all residents is part of the application process. She is up to date with vaccines and preventatives. She is microchipped.
