Story
Please read the entire bio for this rescue, it will provide all the information that one needs to decide if they would like to apply to adopt from SCMR.Adoption fee:  $100.00   Grumpy   Surprise! Grumpy isn't grumpy at all...he's a old-timer sweetheart! We don't have an age but imagine it could be 12-14 years old. He weighs 12/5 pounds and is a diabetic. Grumpy came to SCMR from a Knoxville shelter where he was surrendered by his owner probably because of his diabetes. But he is so easy when getting his insulin shots...doesn't react at all. He loves everybody and other animals. Grumpy is being fostered in Rossville, GA. If you can't care for a diabetic but want to help Grumpy, please consider sponsoring him and becoming one of his angels to help SCMR cover the cost of his insulin and meds. Grumpy is grateful for any help!   Adoption Fee: $100.00 Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.   To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION.   NOTE: SCMR DOES NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences. You can help make a difference one dog at a time. If you would like to sponsor one of our babies, we accept online donations via PayPal or send a check to us at P.O. Box 2005, Chattanooga, TN 37409. We thank you for whatever you can help us with. Any donation is appreciated and is tax deductible, as allowed by law,  as we are a qualified non-profit 501(c)3 organization.    All our males are sent with BELLY BANDS!    for a one time Donation that goes direct to SCMR please go to our paypal link: November 4, 2024, 6:23 pm

Story
✅️Currently located in South Korea✅️ ✈️ Available to fly to ATL✈️ Meet QQ🧡 QQ was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in South Korea, where she lived in a cramped cage with accumulated waste and fur beneath, making standing painful and emitting strong ammonia fumes. She is now adapting to everyday life and is expected to become healthier and happier soon! ** Health Status - Scaling done, two teeth extracted - Originally had poor skin condition leading to severe grooming and medicated baths; currently much improved and non-contagious. - Due to periodontitis, her gums have receded, causing instability in her teeth. This prevents her from eating hard food, and she requires soft kibble and snacks. - Has an eye injury but no vision impairment. * Interaction with People: Loves people but initially fears strangers, especially men. Takes time to warm up, but once comfortable, she follows around, wags her tail, and likes to be by your side. * Interaction with Dogs: Shows little interest in other dogs and prefers spending time alone. * Interaction with Cats: Indifferent; passes by without much notice. * Separation Anxiety: Minimal; manages well alone and spends most of the time sleeping when the family is out. * Potty Training: She prefers indoor potty training and is proficient with using pads. She occasionally confuses blankets with her potty spot but is improving. She also does well with outdoor potty training during walks. * Hygiene: She cooperates well during baths. Nail trimming can be frightening and cause some fuss, but she stays calm. She is also good with brushing and drying. * Walking: Ignores other animals, walks without pulling, and matches the walker's pace. * Car Sickness: Travels well in the car without any signs of motion sickness. * Very gentle with no biting, even when touched or petted by strangers. 💙 Foster's Instagram: @p.ssshhj

Story
Hi, my name is Leah, and I am a sweet and gentle senior dog looking for a loving home to spend my golden years. Even though I am a senior, I still have a lot of love, loyalty, and enthusiasm left in me. I am quiet and curious, and I love to explore and take in all the smells around me. I am a friendly dog who is always eager to greet my human friends with wags and kisses. I am fine with other dogs. I am a bit older and need a gentle touch, so I would be best suited for a quiet home without young children. If you are looking for a sweet and gentle companion to share your life with, please consider adopting me, Leah. I promise to give you lots of love and cuddles in return for a warm and cozy home.

Story
If I look sad, it’s because I was dropped off at the shelter when my owner got sick. A couple of days after being rescued, I also got very sick. I have some kidney issues but with good veterinary care and lots of TLC I’m doing better every day. I’m a calm quiet fellow who gets along with all the pups at rescue. My personality is coming out slowly. I'm a little cautious of where I am and who's caring for me since it's been confusing to be shuttled around so much. I’m hoping to find my forever home soon.

Story
Are you looking for a constant companion, little furry BFF type of dog? Then Nibbles might be your gal! Here’s the deal though – this poor, tiny (9 pound) girl was surrendered to the shelter at 10 years of age and it was immediately clear she was not always treated kindly. She came to us in pain from a dental issue but that has been fully treated and it was such a joy to see her realize she was going to be safe and cared for! Although she has become absolutely devoted to and loving towards her foster mom, she remains very scared of being picked up. She will happily follow you around the house and yard, solicit petting, belly rubs, and ear scratches, and hop into your lap whenever invited - but she does not wish to be toted under your arm; that is simply not a place where she feels safe. She is non-reactive (and quite frankly apathetic) towards adult dogs and is likely to feel the same way about cats. She is fine with kids who have the maturity and impulse control to respect her boundaries. She came to us pee pad trained (and will consistently use them) and her foster mom is looking for someone who is comfortable with that, as she’s a bit of a princess when it comes to damp grass or less than ideal temperatures. We are looking for a household where she can know nothing but love, kindness and compassion during her golden years; she would like a fenced yard or an adopter who is willing to very patiently continue working through her fear of being harnessed. Thank you for your interest in one of our furry kids! Adopting from Releash Atlanta means you will adopt a dog that has been fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped and medically cleared!! While we make our best guesses, we often don’t know what breeds our kiddos are made of. We cannot guarantee our guesses will always be right but CAN guarantee they are 100% good dogs! Our adoption fee is $350. **We only adopt to families in/around Atlanta, Ga (about a 1-2 hour perimeter)** If you are interested in any of our dogs, please visit https://releashatlanta.com/adoptable-dogs.php to either view more of their profile or to apply to adopt! If you have questions, please email adopt@releashatlanta.com Take a moment and like our Facebook Page for updates on our dogs and the first look at dogs coming into the program! www.facebook.com/releashatlanta Thank you!!

Story
Pickles was turned into the shelter along with 8 others - including many of his littermates. They were not well socialized with humans but opened up a little every day and are doing well with humans and other dogs in the home. Pickles has turned out to be the most adventurous, the first to try something new. His interaction with his foster mom is getting better every day. He is doing well with house traing and crate training and bravely tackling leash walking. Pickles is not suitable with small children as he is still building confidense and learning to be brave. Adoption Fee $325 For an adoption application or to and to discuss how Pickles may be a good fit for your family contact Maria at 1dogrescue@gmail.com
