Story
Mela needs a home! She is a 9-10 month old Maltese/Poodle mix who's owner was not able to keep her. She is almost full grown and weighs 12 pounds. Mela is a high energy girl and loves other dogs. She has not been around kids, but we think that she would do well with older kids. We think that a home without small kids would be best. She has also not been around cats, so we do not know how she would be with a cat. Mela is NOT housetrained! Like all "doodles", Mela with need an owner committed to her coat care! She will require daily and weekly maintenance and periodic grooming with a professional groomer for trims. If you are interested in adopting Mela, please fill out an application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAY-A-8392 **Applications can take anywhere from 5-7 business days to complete. When filling out an application, please check for a confirmation email to be sure that your application went through. We respond by email, so please check your spam and trash folders. If you need to reach us regarding your application, the best way to contact us is through email.** We are located in Fayette County, GA and are a foster based rescue without a shelter building.

Story
✅️Currently located in South Korea✅️ ✈️ Available to fly to ATL✈️ Meet QQ🧡 QQ was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in South Korea, where she lived in a cramped cage with accumulated waste and fur beneath, making standing painful and emitting strong ammonia fumes. She is now adapting to everyday life and is expected to become healthier and happier soon! ** Health Status - Scaling done, two teeth extracted - Originally had poor skin condition leading to severe grooming and medicated baths; currently much improved and non-contagious. - Due to periodontitis, her gums have receded, causing instability in her teeth. This prevents her from eating hard food, and she requires soft kibble and snacks. - Has an eye injury but no vision impairment. * Interaction with People: Loves people but initially fears strangers, especially men. Takes time to warm up, but once comfortable, she follows around, wags her tail, and likes to be by your side. * Interaction with Dogs: Shows little interest in other dogs and prefers spending time alone. * Interaction with Cats: Indifferent; passes by without much notice. * Separation Anxiety: Minimal; manages well alone and spends most of the time sleeping when the family is out. * Potty Training: She prefers indoor potty training and is proficient with using pads. She occasionally confuses blankets with her potty spot but is improving. She also does well with outdoor potty training during walks. * Hygiene: She cooperates well during baths. Nail trimming can be frightening and cause some fuss, but she stays calm. She is also good with brushing and drying. * Walking: Ignores other animals, walks without pulling, and matches the walker's pace. * Car Sickness: Travels well in the car without any signs of motion sickness. * Very gentle with no biting, even when touched or petted by strangers. 💙 Foster's Instagram: @p.ssshhj

Story
Are you looking for a constant companion, little furry BFF type of dog? Then Nibbles might be your gal! Here’s the deal though – this poor, tiny (9 pound) girl was surrendered to the shelter at 10 years of age and it was immediately clear she was not always treated kindly. She came to us in pain from a dental issue but that has been fully treated and it was such a joy to see her realize she was going to be safe and cared for! Although she has become absolutely devoted to and loving towards her foster mom, she remains very scared of being picked up. She will happily follow you around the house and yard, solicit petting, belly rubs, and ear scratches, and hop into your lap whenever invited - but she does not wish to be toted under your arm; that is simply not a place where she feels safe. She is non-reactive (and quite frankly apathetic) towards adult dogs and is likely to feel the same way about cats. She is fine with kids who have the maturity and impulse control to respect her boundaries. She came to us pee pad trained (and will consistently use them) and her foster mom is looking for someone who is comfortable with that, as she’s a bit of a princess when it comes to damp grass or less than ideal temperatures. We are looking for a household where she can know nothing but love, kindness and compassion during her golden years; she would like a fenced yard or an adopter who is willing to very patiently continue working through her fear of being harnessed. Thank you for your interest in one of our furry kids! Adopting from Releash Atlanta means you will adopt a dog that has been fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped and medically cleared!! While we make our best guesses, we often don’t know what breeds our kiddos are made of. We cannot guarantee our guesses will always be right but CAN guarantee they are 100% good dogs! Our adoption fee is $350. **We only adopt to families in/around Atlanta, Ga (about a 1-2 hour perimeter)** If you are interested in any of our dogs, please visit https://releashatlanta.com/adoptable-dogs.php to either view more of their profile or to apply to adopt!
